  1. I would think the TCU position might be getting warm too.
  2. There's no way that it's not. Before the season started and we knew we had violated ncaa rules with our schedule, we had heard that money was there for a replacement. I fail to believe that's changed.
  3. I think everyone already had an idea that SFA was a solid team. I also think everyone knows that UNT used to be considered a "solid team" as well. No Excuses, remember?
  4. Did someone make you aware of how much or how little money we have?
  5. Certainly. If everyone here shot around with other enthusiasts at the gun range on weekends for a little bit, they'd realize that Sun Tzu would have done the exact same thing. I dunno, I guess I'm just a fan of wars. Win or lose, I'll still be here.
  6. At least Ukraine is in the demilitarized zone, trying to prevent Russia from launching long range attacks.
  7. Great to hear. Thanks for the update Harry.
  8. Make sure you use the recent graduate rates. It is an awesome way to ease into donating and buying season tix.
  9. Who cares? Put me in the group who's more concerned about getting beat by 20 at home to a conference opponent who's currently in 5th place. But, according to the basketball experts on this board I shouldn't be concerned because we have a better record than last year and that's progress!!!
  10. Who put / is putting us in that spot?
  11. Alzee is the last dude that has been on a NCAA Tournament team at North Texas. Kind of a changing of the guard moment for me. I feel like I watched those teams grow up with each other. After Walton and Alzee leave, only 2 players (CJ and JW) will be left over Jones guys, and if memory serves, the only 2 on the team that have been here since their freshmen year.
  12. The problem is, Harry, that finding big men and defenders and rebounders is always going to be difficult for us, and we seem content to find hybrid bigs. Unfortunately, that infatuation with hoping one of the tweeners can provide defense, rebounding and offense seems to have left us without true assist or shooting guards. You say we have added shooters, but we went 0-10 from 3pt range before Anefiok hit midway through the second today. It seems we have a lot of 2s 3s and 4s that can play almost interchangeably (at least that's how we do)
  13. I agree, I'm more impressed with Hunter.
  14. No clue about him or Hunter, the PF from Detroit. What does a guy from Ontario Canada want in El Paso?
  15. I don't think anyone in the league will have much luck against UTEP big men for the next 3 years.
  16. Having had to watch the garbage that was on the court earlier in the year, I'll call it even.
  17. Jiminy Christmas
  18. Please explain this claim. I thought that title was earned by Seahawk? Good hire, either way.
  19. If you want some comedy look at home prices out there.
  20. At the very least, Rv should get Benford to take a pay cut like ken McDonald did at wku.
  21. They might not have been good recently, but I think they had a 5 seed in the NCAA tourney in 1998. Also, they are getting a new basketball stadium.
  22. I'm as excited as the next guy for where football could go, but we've had 1 winning season in the last 10... and he and his hires were solely responsible for those 9 as well as the 1. 3 1/2 of those years were the worst that anyone could have experienced as a fan of a college football team. The jury is out on whether we have a good football program. I think we will, but we don't know. Just one year of success. If he doesn't offer you a job in the promotions dept when you graduate, then something is wrong.
  23. What he had could have been very serious. Some people have to wear colostomy bags the rest of their lives. Best of luck in full recovery.
  24. They laughed that we kept him (Trilli) for 4 years. They also mentioned that in the history of college football Dodge's stretch was 5 better than the worst coaching stretch in CFB history. So happy to have those days behind us and to have learned from our mistakes...
