You have matched the win total of last year. Yes, it is an FCS school. But, you did what is expected of an FBS school when playing an FCS school. You dominated up front. You rolled up the score and gained confidence and trust in the direction things are headed, the plays in the play book and in each other. The win is good and there is plenty to work on. You also do not have a monkey on your back. Big step in the right direction, no matter the opponent. Sorry for the fan turnout.

Do not care if the band looks laxed or acts laxed as long as they play great and entertain. The thing is, they sound amazing and are entertaining for 1 game. They run the same drill and play the same halftime show every week. High schools do that. Play some different music and show off the amazing musicians. Craig Robertson in his Browns garb , Zach Orr, Brian Waters, Mean Joe. Norah Jones. Congressman Burgess. Cynthia Izaguirre. Games should be a commercial for the University to every person who walks in that stadium. Talk more about the famous alumni and the very interesting things happening around the university. If someone in cross country ends up winning something, recognize them too, but everything does not have to be just athletics. Talk about things that make us proud to be alumni and/or proud to be from Denton and North Texas.

I do not think those are safeties... I see 6 green shirts, which mean there are 5 in coverage to the left of that frame to cover 4 guys. Those 2 inside the has are LBs to prevent a run or play the underneath pass. I still do not think it was a bad defensive call. Just poor execution by the dbs.

I agree Thompson should have had a bigger night. I know the couple of times you are thinking about and they appeared to be over throws. But not by much. A couple, I saw go through the hands of WRs. They just looked uncomfortable with each other. Also, don't mistake me, I prefer SL to play whoever he thinks is best. He deserves that right now.

Man, I do not know how much of it was him, but it seems like 2 of those interceptions should be pinned on the WR. The first one to Goree seemed like Goree needed to GO GET THE BALL. The one on 4th and 1 was disappointing, but almost a punt situation where the WR needed to go get it or play defense. I just felt there was a lack of situational awareness from the WRs for a couple. Maybe Morris was accustomed to the WRs at Alabama attacking the ball harder, or being the physically dominant player in the match-up.

Showing up without tickets 15-20 mins before game time seems stupid. My sister (a student) did that tonight and we were in in 5 mins. Probably accustomed to the perfect ops for women's golf tournaments.

Agree with this. There are some people that need to leave the Athletic Department. There are others who put more time in than they get paid for, and may have been stifled by having an inept or micromanaging boss who told them what to do and how to do it.

So which is it? A. He drew up a shit contract that the school cannot get out of. B. He did not raise enough money or convince enough people to make it happen. C. He is delusional and thinking next year will really be the year. D. The next AD needs someone to fire/hire as soon as he/she takes over E. All of the above.

There are guys that play baseball at North Texas for a club team. They voluntarily play clubs from other schools and find their own money to do it. They do it with North Texas' name across their chest because they want to, not because they get schollys or paid. Just because they want to.

I understand both of his arguments given time and context. The rules to this game have changed a lot since the playoff was enacted. There is less reliance on math or some semblance of math in the shitty non-disclosed BCS formula, but it sure as hell created better bowl match-ups and a better version of the big 4 or 5 bowl games. For all of its warts, give me the BCS and that bowl system any day. This playoff committee BS is a fiasco.

If you weren't you'd build a new basketball arena and fix the leaks in the roof of your football stadium. It's embarrassing.

His problem at OU was his inconsistency. One game he's on, one game he's not. When he was on, he was unbeatable. When he was off, things got ugly. That game is probably why he hasn't seen much field this year, and why he is now transferring. I sure as hell would not complain about him coming to North Texas, tho.
