Ridiculous attitude towards players' well-being
MeanMag replied to JesseMartin's topic in Mean Green Basketball
They already know/knew he was going to be gone about halfway through the season, maybe sooner. What difference does it make? Get it done sooner than later. -
Was Johnny Jones not an RV hire?
-
That's the second time you've said that phrase. It actually could have worked out better if we had beaten UTEP and UTSA.

Wren Baker on Bowl Game Possibilities

McDonnell Douglas? -
If that is the play I am thinking of, the defender did not turn around, ran over the WR and should have been a PI as well. So 2 blown calls on one play. I sat with a former LaTech DL and even he said we (UNT) were getting jobbed by the refs. But he also said they (LaTech) would need all the help they could get, because on the season they have been awful in the 3rd QTR of games.

Without looking, I think we have played more games against Texas State than any other school in our history. I would have preferred SWTxStU-SM to UTSA to have been let in to CUSA. It is a better school and has a better athletics program across the board. UTSA does absolutely nothing for CUSA at all. Absolutely no redeeming qualities for the conference as a whole. It was an unfortunate selection by CUSA.

Not at all disappointed with my life decisions. Also, I would not call this "arguing". It seems very lame to argue over cities with you think are awesome, but actually aren't. I'm going to crack open a tall boy, quitter. But, if you are only buzzed, it means you never really got started, in which case... what's your excuse?

Typically, when I am looking for world renowned, unbiased, racially diverse opinions, to show my non-elitism, I start with Travel&Leisure.com and work my way out from there. I throw in the globe and mail occasionally because in the name itself, mentions the worldly article, "globe". It sounds very traveled and developed. Not at all racist. I'm going to go get some popcorn.
-
My point is, I have never found a place in Watauga that is awesome.
-
Not exactly. There are places in every city that have redeeming qualities. You obviously didn't find anything you enjoyed or experienced some racial profiling within the city limits of Dallas. But keeping worrying about what the rest of the country likes, free thinker.
-
I don't live in Dallas. Been to all of those places, and LA sucks ass. Chicago is fun to visit 1/4 of the year. Girls in NYC look like whooping cranes. Houston wants to be Austin. DC can't get it's head out of its own ass. What other cities have you visited that I can make fun of?
-
Well traveled in Texas? Congratulations Arthur C. Clarke.
-
rofl. You and your city talk. Houston is trash. San Antonio is trash. Watauga is still trash.

I recall thinking that Marshall has always been good. Then I saw we are Marshall, and thought it was and always has been a storied program. Then I heard they were an also ran before a plane crash changed their trajectory in the college football world forever and looked it up. In fact, as bad as we have been last year and the past 10 (the worst ever in UNT history) I bet you could go and find multiple years and 10 year stretches in the Marshall record books that are far worse than any of what we have experienced the past decade. Marshall should be familiar with their current position.

UNT will be the first C-USA game on Twitter!

We have some humble people in our athletic video department. The streaming of the past softball tournament hosted at North Texas had our video department working overtime to stream all of the games. The conference office was so pleased that they asked them if they could do it again. The department has established partnership with ESPN3. There are minimum standards a streaming video production has to meet to get games broadcast on ESPN3. The athletic department has now partnered with the RTVF department to get students experience and produce a high enough quality broadcast for the ESPN3 stream. All of this while turning out road recaps in hours that have only been getting better every week, and weekly hype videos and producing/running in-stadium, in-game production. If you ask me, there is a lot of activity that is showing a lot of commitment and initiative by members of the athletic department. Especially when you consider how large (small) that team is these days... -
MGB: Baker hires third top level administrator

Just us catching up to where we should be. -
week 3 needs updating: OL Brendon Weatherspoon: @ Flower Mound Marcus, W 26-14, 384 yards of total offense should be OL Brendon Weatherspoon: @ Keller, W 26-14, 392 yards of total offense
-
Yep. That has been a very nice addition.

so they have to be in a particular area to get access to something they can put on their picture... that makes sense. edit: I was under the impression that geo tagging was actually tagging the location of where you were. I guess that's still the case, but tagging arlington, texas might be a bit redundant.

It's like this is becoming a business or something, where quality of life and happy employees matters. Some of you guys love North Texas so much that you would do it 24/7 if you could. But how long could that last? To be attractive to the most productive people, we have to compete and be able to give people vacation days every now and then and continue on like nothing happened. It's a schedule for human beings! Could it be that previous personnel were required to be a jack of all trades and did nothing super well or fell behind in other areas because they couldn't focus time in one area of expertise? This to me, is just a school of our size getting our shit together. It would be hard to convince me that the AD is a bloated bureaucracy as I've worked at one and heard of all the things people within the AD were being asked to do.

Dunbar's under usage in this game may be that he hasn't worked all that much with Dak Prescott. Also, his yds per play average is likely how he makes it through all of the injuries with a job still. I'll also agree, he looks freaking explosive.
