Emmitt, I have come to the conclusion over the past few years that anytime you can poke UT, you do (justified or not). I just don't understand how you can't give cedric his credit. Questioning UT on this board once or twice does not get you unfairly labeled. Doing it every year at various points throughout the year, even when Benson doesn't even play for UT anymore, does. Admit your bitterness and hatred for UT by putting it in your sig, but Cedric should be labeled as anything but "overrated", even by anti-lemings that hate UT.

It's just Emmitt's inferiority complex again. Lots of people on this board seem to have them. It is really sad how much some folks take pleasure in injuries from other schools and everything just because they have some complex like this.

Everytime I see it I get pumped about watching him again this season when he is healthy. That was an amazing accomplishment, and he really had people talking not only locally, but nationally. It was no joke to anyone either, because even if we were playing "lower" competition in conference, no one could argue against the teams he was able gain his yards playing. It will be a whole lot of fun to watch this season and I hope he returns to the days of old.

Many thanks gruu. I thought the same thing as long jim. Metcalf was every play, it was a little too predictable, almost like some other team that i've watched over the last year... The defense was AGGRESSIVE. They were causing some trouble at every position on the field. That was fun to watch.

Correct me if I'm wrong though and I probably shouldn't say this for fear of being labeled a horn apologist, but isn't the pylon inbounds? The last call isn't the one that was that out of the question, but the fumble and bobbled TD earlier in the game are.

A lot of players wore them to conceal their eyes from the opponents, so that they couldn't get a read of which way they were going. Seems like a bunch of the Texas defenders usually LB's used to wear them.

You're a real buzz kill, instead of getting excited about the upcoming season and our new addition to the team, we are arguing over whether our head coach was wise enough to find top talent at a lower level and offer him a ship? This is nothing but a good find by Dickey and he should get the credit for it.

It's also easy to say that when we rolled over last season and bent over for LaTech and Tulsa. Until we start playing with our heads out of our asses every team will be allowed to talk about us like that.

I'm not trying to be insensitive, and I wish Dickey the best. I hope this isn't the case and if it is, good luck to him. This does bring up the question of whether or not there is going to be a position for our returning MVP this year or whether our Diet Coke guy will be left holding diet unsyruped carbonated water.
