This is why our friends in New Braunsfels are building stadiums and passing us by these days. We must eradicate the problems. I say we let TTG's people build it, they have a knack for horseshoe stadiums Of course then we would have to put up with his "art" being littered all over the stadium. Fair trade if you ask me though.

Really? Take advantage of what? The money pouring out UNT's ears? The HUGE fanbase that we have right now? The fabulous records we've obtained the past few years? UNT will be revitalized with any sort of positive steps RIGHT NOW. 30k is perfect for now. Think of fouts, but more intimate, and closer to the action. With the history of NT there won't be any expansion because we can't fill 30k in fouts RIGHT NOW. If we are the next USC then we would have to have the room because of our record. It's a no brainer to build now and think of the future. (easily expandable)

Anyone think this will have an effect on campus community? Will students try to move closer to school instead of commuting? Will they make less trips home, or less trips to Dallas to seek entertainment? The price of a football game for a student will not change real soon.

Don't worry folks, our stadium plans are in good hands.

The Professional Programs will not leave Denton, namely business. The TI plant is a great acquisition at a great price. It gives great space for engineers to stretch out. In the time my brother spent in the engineering program he complained about having to visit the main campus because all but one of his classes were out there. Although, he didn't complain so much, because it was his one opportunity to admire the opposite sex that semester. The sky is not falling at UNT-Denton as you make it out to be, but I do agree that if a law school were to be approved, I would want it affiliated with the main campus and not a UNT-D spinoff. I really don't like the idea of UNT putting all of it's financial power at this time into starting up another school that will take students away from the main campus. Honestly, I have no problem with putting the art depts. expansion on hold.

Agreed, and it looks like he cares more than to let a few people brow beating him into gomeangreen groupthink. Things might not be quite as bad as he's making them out to be around UNT, but some of the things he's talking about do make you wonder, and certainly aren't 100% wrong.

Emmitt, I know what you are getting at, but you are asking the wrong people. Ask the team. I guarandamntee you - they want to play against the Big XII and any other school they have a chance at knocking heads with that have former teammates on. I doubt anyone on the team now knows a guy that plays for Buffalo or Ohio. They want to play against those guys that they heard were good in High School that they never got a chance to bump heads with because of school classification, playoff division or district etc. The commraderie and competitiveness of Texas High School Football and proving/testing themselves to/against the friends, acquaintances, and classmates they made or did not make at football camps / clinics / and playoffs would probably be a bigger factor to them than any "sure" win or loss, if there was ever such a thing... This is why every effort should be made to play other teams from our region. I will take a regional matchup regardless of conference affiliation/ "bodybag" potential. Also makes for better gentlemanly discussion around the water cooler for the fans. Our SunBelt schedule takes enough scrutiny from the national perception, warranted or unwarranted.

Why stop with eliminating one breed? Bears kill people so lets kill them back. Along with Cars, Tigers, Aligators, Cancer, Wolves, Sharks, and Bulls kill people in Rodeo. Only humans should be on this earth since only they have the capability of reasoning. On a serious note, those who think that any breed or any animal should be eliminated have already lost their reasoning abilities. You aren't entitled to choose which live and which die just because you have the ability to kill something and those in law enforcement and public service should know this already. I have known a few pits that are the nicest dogs in the world. However, I do think they have no business being in a house with my children. Society shouldn't waste the effort trying to enforce the unenforceable and shouldn't tell folks how to live. There is no cure for stupid, and unfortunately there are lots of stupid people out there. Unless the stupid people kill themselves, there is no answer. Those pictures really pull your strings, but it is very hard to protect people from themselves. Owners should be responsible and ready to deal with the consequences of anything they own. This is no exception.

I would not think the fee would be implemented until the stadium were built, similar to the rec center. That way a student doesn't feel like they are paying for something they can't use. We might even get more student participation if they know they are paying for it, they should be more inclined to use it...

Anyone who hasn't seen The Andrew Tinker Band is seriously missing out. Some very good artists in that band.

OU finds itself guilty for paying its players to come there, and forfeits wins from 3 years ago, and gets those wins back a year later... FIU gets probably the harshest penalty since SMU for self reporting its rules violations. The NCAA is joke.

They are banking on being out of business by the end of 3 years. This is the big push to get rid of all of their inventory before then.

You're right, and for a school like $MU, who is not hurting for money, it doesn't make sense to play big boys for the payday and sure loss.

I hope everyone who goes is extremely torn and thinks long and hard about giving that pathetic, sad excuse for a professional baseball team your money. Support the Green, but to hell with the Rangers. Maybe Nolan Ryan can fix them in a few years, but I hope, for all the women and children, that they don't have to see the usual abortion on the 12th.
