Yes, You are right. Everyone come back next season. The reactions here are really incredible. I don't understand a lot of the expectations. The score says things have gotten better from last year. Next week is a winnable game in Tulsa. LSU is going to be bad, but we'll see how much progress has been made from this week to then. Just calm down and support your team.

Sadly for Channel 33, They used to have a very friendly North Texas Sports Dept. and it was easy to be when we were winning championships. Where did I put that number to the old News Director's Office. I bet it is still the same....

If anyone is looking for a good cup of coffee in Houston- Catalina Coffee House off of Washington will probably serve you one of the best cups of coffee you've ever had, if not, the best. So Brett had to get DRC permission to post here? And, he can't make comments beyond linking to a website most of us linked to normally anyway? Do they own, or attempt to own, every typed word that Bretts little fingers finish? Sorry, but if all Brett's post will ever consist of is a link to newspaper content, I don't know how much of an addition to this board he is making. I read and like his columns/information but will probably come to only find his posts as a convenient way to find a website I would visit anyhow. Just hoping Brett would add to the specific conversation beyond his column that the editor doesn't feel is needed. Or even personal comments about others' posts that add perspective or may clarify a point. Though, Hooray for Newspapers and media outlets realizing that to keep up with things these days, they need to seep into the greatest version of media. This decision will probably have the intended effect of increasing traffic on their website, which no one can fault them for. This is definitely a strange and crazy time for media types that like to get paid for work.

My sources have told me Riley will Redshirt. Of course, they told me that a long time ago, shortly after Riley officially changed his commit.

You're not lying. On the offensive side of the ball, I think our speed and athleticism will surpass everyone in conference. I was told to expect Riley to redshirt, but now I am not so sure... On one hand, you have to expect him to. Red shirting gives him the best chance to make the NFL. It gives him that much sought after extra year to gain experience, go to school for free, and add some muscles. And, more importantly, the offense is in great hands with Vizza. Good for Riley. Not for Papa. On the other, it certainly would help out papa Todd to have Riley on the field. He knows the system, and if used as a receiver (like I was told to expect him to play the first couple of years after he red shirted anyway) He would definitely give us the option of having 2 QBs in the backfield.... plus a very capable running back in Mosley. Fitz is still on the field too, could you imagine having 2 QBs trying to get Fitz the ball? Dibrell, Stickler.... the options are endless. If there were one thin place on the offense it would be the most important of them all... the line. If we were running this it would definitely take the focus off of the line and open the field for more play makers to make plays. My one reservation is how much of a gimmick would this be? The video shows them going deep just about every play, which really doesn't make sense, since this would exploit the underneath and short game the most. If you ran into a team with some good cover lbs it would be very tough to make this happen. But for a little while it might be successful, until teams figured you out. You can just about bet on us getting a new stadium by 2010.
