  1. I think I remember hearing stories about Dickey randomly going to classes his football players were supposed to be at. I don't recall what the punishment was, but I do remember hearing players talk about it like skipping class is something you didn't want him to catch you doing.
  2. I'm sure he knows a lot of things we missed. However, I have no idea what that might be. So I will keep throwing out my ideas... Comeback player of the year, Diet Coke Boy. The only person that is single handedly responsible for our bleek records the past few seasons. He left this program high and dry and we haven't won since.
  3. I like your avatar. I vote for her.
  4. The most interesting man in the world?
  5. Hot UNT Dancer.

  8. It's Sexy Time.
  9. Damn, I saw him at a couple of games last year. I should of Tanya Harding'd him.
  10. For some reason, I don't think he is... I want Dodge to go after players who don't get any interest from any other schools... I'm tired of having to compete with big programs to get recruits.
  11. I think it's hilarious for people to be defending this recruiting class as the most amazingly amazing class of the past 2.5 years. And alarming for some of the wrist cutters to be declaring this class utter failures based on the performance of the past 2.5 years. Employees of every athletics department, save very best, across the country are ready to crown themselves the national champion based on what their recruiting classes could do. Super fans are ready to chew on it, swallow and spew the same crap out of their own mouths. Meanwhile, the ex-employees, disgruntled friends and parents of former players, and wannabe fans-of-another-school-but-go-to-this-one are out trying to convince all of said people above that NOT ONE of the recruits deserves to play football on this level and will make very personal attacks on youngsters to make themselves feel better about being losers. Then you have the fans that keep up with it, and actually wait to evaluate a recruiting class after they have played. Fans that keep quiet so as not to look like a retard before calling their home run shot because chances are what they think will happen, won't happen and they know it. Fans that know that what makes a recruit good is what he does after he's signed and sees playing time. I've been very quiet lately because it all comes down to one thing about sports that ever really matters enough to post about in the off-season, other than cracking Dick jokes and heckling other teams' moron fans. The only thing that will unify everyone is winning. Sometimes I really wonder how much it matters to Texas, OU or Florida how good this years' recruiting class is; to their fans OR their coaches. Who gives a rats ass how good their players might be coming in? Few become starters and some don't pan out, but who cares? They still have the majority of the team that knew the hard work required to win returning next year and chances are they will be just as good as the year before. Dickey was right, Fans are F#%#*% idiots.

    A&m

I know of at least 1 that committed at the semester break, so they are really down 7.
  13. We continue to get quality commits. I really hope expect to see marked improvement this coming season.
  14. Title of this thread should be Josh White had good Passing. Yes, his passing sets up offense. I thought our offense looked weak around the basket for most of the game. Anytime we are close the ball kind of hangs above the rim, and never goes in. If the other team doesn't get the rebound, it bounces around some more after being lobbed back up. For some reason we just can't go up strong and finish around the basket. Our offense really looks out of sorts to me. Our half court game needs to improve. Our turnovers were down, and that's why we won. Until the run in the 2nd half after the game being tied, I couldn't believe we were winning. Missed shots... poor offensive rebounding... Our defense wasn't too bad last night. I saw a lot of challenged shots. A lot of batted/intercepted passes. Some good energy on the defensive boards. Chasing loose balls. Our hustle was very good on defense.
  15. We fans who have been here since the early 2000s should know that this is the case. The reason we won the conf. titles and could actually hang with big boys was because of the defense. Since then, Todd Dodge has proven that a quick scoring spread offense is nothing without a ball controlling running game and defense. This proves the theory that mixing it up is best. By the way... Did anyone see OUs problem against Florida? There are some striking similarities between what happened in the National Championship Game with their offense and ours. They had no problem moving the ball between the 20s, but as soon as it was short yardage they lined up in shotgun to run and were stuffed multiple times. If you were to proportionally weaken their players and put green uniforms on them I would have mistaken their offense for ours - complete with looking at the sidelines and stupid penalties.
  16. I disagree that our most glaring need is a PG. We are missing Wooden BIG TIME. We also need to play better defensively. our defense is not helping our offense as much as it was last year.
  17. That seems to be par for the course with everything I see live on TXA.
  18. I made a comment to our brother that we were shooting lights out at the line. We did close the gap and made it interesting. I thought when we had a chance to shoot the last shot and were 3 points down we should have held it and gotten a better look than we did. The best we could have done was send it to overtime, but really... we had no business even being that close. Our shot selection was poor and they took our speed and athleticism away on offense by pressing the whole game. If I were going to write a book on how to beat UNT, in it would be: 1) Press for the whole game and force them into mistakes. UTA has us figured out.
  19. People who say Jones can't get us to the next level are rediculous. He has proven he can... we made the tourney 2 years ago.... 2 20 win seasons in a row. It doesn't get much better. And the risk of getting an unknown in here is too great. I like where our bball team is headed.
  20. Check out AR Pine Bluff.... 1-7 mind you
  21. Material costs aren't necessarily down... Steel is holding stable pretty well.
  22. Looks like he takes good angles and is a sure tackler against the run. What you want to see out of a good LB... Wonder how he is against the pass.
  23. I hope so, I would like to see them and Jackson State boost our RPI with some wins.
  24. Through 4 games Odufuwa is averaging almost a double double
  25. check out the bench points line from this game: BENCH POINTS NT 38 ISU 6 While we're at it: SECOND CHANCE POINTS NT 20 ISU 11 We are rebounding very nicely and it's turning directly into points
