  1. Do you think Pitino and Kennedy are on the same level? I don't think so.
  2. $100k less. But do you think they are on the same level? And why would he leave his alma mater for less or the same?
  3. Considering how good they have been, that's crazy.
  4. Are you serious about Rodney Terry? I suggested him on another thread, but I didn't think we could really get him or that anyone here wanted him.
  5. Let's take one of their coaches for a change... Chester Frazier, WVU. He is a recruiting guru apparently.
  6. Takayo Siddle, UNC-Wilmington?
  7. I hope teams will at least schedule non-con games with us here and there so we can at least see how we match up.
  8. Me too!!! We can always hope to be the G-league team for WVU.
  9. For sure. But they wouldn't pay Richard Pitino what UAB pays Kennedy. I guess we'll see. They definitely get more exposure than UAB, get further in the tournament, and more butts in the seats. Almost any mid major coach would cover that position.
  10. I am obsessed with how the college basketball environment is changing in a way that will further separate the power conferences from the rest of us. Next year there will be a $20M cap on revenue sharing. What? Will we be able to ever reach that amount? With revenue sharing and NIL and the power conferences steadily growing, will mid-major programs be able to compete for players? Maybe it is true that there will be two major tournaments that actually mean something to the programs that reach them. One for the power conferences and one for the rest of DI. The Tournament without auto bids and the NIT I'm assuming. Maybe all we can hope for is a run in the NIT or a jump to Power 4-5-6. Here is a good article I have already posted, but think it is interesting. https://nil-ncaa.com/
  11. I get it. I'm joking.
  12. Hoosiers was shot there, right? RIP Gene Hackman.
  13. What is a guaranteed incentive? 😂🤣
  14. That may be what we will have to look forward to. At least we have a shot at playing more than one or two postseason games.
  15. Check this one out too. It is about football, but actually just about $$$ available. Top 50 with Memphis at #50 https://247sports.com/longformarticle/college-footballs-top-50-programs-ranked-by-nil-efforts-235181311/ Maybe if Penny had a system, they would be a bit more consistent.
  16. That's funny considering Hodge's new contract is reported to be around $3M? The point is, I don't think we would or could pay that. We paid McCasland $800k and he actually won in the tournament.
  17. Hey, check this out about the dollars available to teams. It is crazy. https://nil-ncaa.com/
  18. Almost twice as much. Crazy, right?
  19. Yaxel turned down millions out of loyalty. It would be sad if his coach left for the money. Especially with the ties he has there. And his contract is $1.3M with a $100k increase every year and Pitino's was $1.2M.
  20. It can be about the money or playing time as long as the money is not too far off. We aren't that close, though. And playing time correlates with $$$ and teams will pay players this coming season. I think players should be able to make money, but am not at all happy with where the sport is headed. I had been wondering what donors would do if a coach benched a player they had spent millions of dollars on?
  21. UNT is favored to win the NIT this year. That's a good feeling, but also, not. I would never overlook UC Irvine. I was really upset all year because they were getting way more attention that we were all season. 30-6 deserved that I guess.
  22. Next Thursday we will have another Championship!!!
  23. NT80. I am just happy that we all love Mean Green Basketball. I just don't think we have the money to play like everyone else and beat good teams by outrunning them. I do know and understand what you are saying though for sure.
