I am outraged that Fry Street Fair is in Deep Ellum. The name says Fry street, and if I am not mistaken this is a place in Denton I look forward to this event every year, not for the band and mushrooms but for seeing my old pals visiting Denton and looking at the Campus and catching up on gossip. If I wanted to see panhandlers and tatoo parlors in Dallas I would go. I just moved back to Denton to raise my family and adopt a laid back way of life. But if Denton is to become Frisco like not allowing the Fair, then I may have to move...... I am soooo pissed right now! Any one else upset? I may just run for city council....and where was our university on this issue? Does no one care? Paul Shcafer cares....so should you! EEALLY

Southwest is very smart to make this move. The name change would propell them into the next level. Directional names do not work. USC is the only school with any national clout. Texas State vs UT in 10 years will be the biggest rivalry since the schools are 25 miles apart. Why does UNT continue to ignore marketing strategies to pull us up from 2nd class in Texas. UNT alumni school spirit sucks so bad. This board is the only hope for UNT. UNT needs the following...... Better Name , but I can live with UNT... Baseball Team Law School Football Stadium Alumni Support and more trash talking to SMU,UT,A&M, and Tech..... UNT grads are among the most energetic, successful, and down to earth alumnus in the state yet I have yet to talk with Alumnus or students who whole heartily express their school spirit.... Everyone on this board should have season tickets, be part of the Exes, and E-mail the admin for better facilities to compete if they want our financial support..... I think "War Wagon" is an awesome name. However, I do not think putting a crater via nuclear force is the answer. War is bad, very bad. I do know that conflict will be inevidible but it is very sad.
