Hodge to WVU…

Yes they performed well but against a team with a pulse or competitive guard play they faltered. It’s remarkable what Hodge did with a roster of little talent from the outside looking in but according to Hodge himself the expectation within the program was to win the conference and we failed to do that. Hodge is hungry for more and pissed for falling short. I am too.

Yes. 6. A 6 to me implies at least with our standards that we’re good but we’re not there yet. Nothing wrong with that (yet)

Newell needs to leave regardless if he has eligibility or not. Unless he makes significant improvements.

Been there done that. I wouldn’t even mind if we declined an NIT bid if we lost in the conference tourney. Obviously won’t happen but that’s where im at. It’s time to elevate the program and NIT championships aren’t gonna do it. The first thing I see as I open our program’s Wiki page is how many NCAA appearances we have. NIT is in the “see more” section.

Our lack of attendance is a result of many factors. I think it’ll pick up slightly when students come back but the promotion for games + home opponents have taken a significant dip from last season. I personally thought last year our crowds were FINE. (not great but moving in the right direction). We drew over 5000+ three separate games last season and 4000+ a few more. Last year I remember seeing signs stuck in the ground around campus promoting the basketball games and the university mass texting all students informing them about games with ticket info. These are little things but they worked.

These conference wishlists are fun to discuss but in no world should UNT share a conference with Tarleton State and SHSU in 2025 lol I’d love being in the PAC as long as some other AAC members follow as a package. That conference wouldn’t be as friendly regionally but there would definitely be more opportunities for national recognition in the PAC especially in basketball.

I like the AAC , but if there is an opportunity to move up you take it especially if your conference peers are doing the same. Meeting up with TXST in anything less than the PAC would signify our regression. Their athletics have gotten “better” but their bar of success has still been really low.

I’d hope Texas State potentially joining the AAC would be in response to us joining the PAC along with UTSA.

What’s wrong with the band? Sounded fine to me. But what do I know , I was only in it for 3 years.

I know many have said it already , but Morris looks so damn poised and prepared. Went straight to business with this offense. I’m excited.
