Edwards loses the ball too much for a guard. Sometimes it feels like he’s trying too hard

Both teams are having to earn their buckets. Both sides are playing hard. Super glad Ruben and Buggs are back for this one. Atmosphere seems electric. If home games could be like this every game

From all accounts, is that really what led their QB to transfer out? If it is, what a terrible outcome.

Or just being a jump shooting team in general. Maybe mix in some mid-range jumpers now and then at least.

I did sound harsh, but was not meaning to be. I do think they’re trying to recruit defenders. As you can see, we were able to flip an Arizona commit and gain some defensive transfers from P5 programs for example. However, since being statistically the worst defense in D1 football, kids may be skeptical. As a football program, we’re not “established” just yet IMO. But, I believe SL has slowly started that process, and EM & staff will help it progress even further. The attention to recruits by having a recruiting staff will pay dividends in the future. This may not help us this season, but hopefully we will see the progress.

Truly loving their success. You can see they play hard for 40mins for coach Burton. Hoping many recruits see what we’re building here and take part in it. Coach B is gonna keep us competitive and successful for a while.

Hopefully, the two kids we’ve recruited for next season is a start. But, that’s still a season away. Anyways, the season is gonna be a dog fight. Tired or not, they’re gonna have to bring it every game. But, this is what’s expected when you move up a level in conference.

We don’t look tired, this is what it looks like when you get your ass handed to you. Give Charlotte their credit. They were up for the game. They wanted it. And, I stand by what I said earlier…Aaron Scott plays soft. If he was one of the guys to lead this team, he’s underachieving. It’s not all on him tho. Other guys need to step up when the moment arrives too. Just don’t wait for one person to score for you.

Where’s Aaron Scott?

No call on the travel and 5 seconds in the paint. But, they easily call the foul at the 3-pt line. Wow

Don’t know about you guys, but I think Aaron Scott is playing soft. Every time he drives to the basket, he doesn’t dip his shoulder to get leverage. Instead, he gets mirrored and just kicks it back out. Need more from him…lot more.
