I mean Wagner held em to 408 yards so if we’re smart, we’ll have 4 down linemen and stack the box.
Navy averages more than 400 a game soo I pray for my sanity they hold ‘em under 500
After watching them play through 4 games, do you think they’re smart enough to line up 4 DL and stack the line? I, personally, have my doubts.

Would be great to read an article after an interview with Caponi. The defense has been the elephant in the room, and it would be great to hear what they’re trying to do to fix it besides tackle.

Maybe these transfers were thinking that by playing for a "big school" they would immediately become NFL material. LOL!
I’m quite certain that’s what many have/had in mind. They keep looking for that chance to showcase, but sometimes just doesn’t happen. Now that the transfer portal has been readjusted to make it more difficult to transfer a second time around, I’m sure many may reconsider

I just have one question.
How does a running back who was held to -9 yards by Prairie View and 9 yards by Central Arkansas and who has rushed for a total of 143 yards over the past 3 years gain 140 yards against us in one game?

You want to have a career offensive output? Play this defense

Did you see how ACU tackles? Many one on one stops by their defenders. It takes 3-4 of our guys to bring a runner down. Sheesh.
We have too many guys just leading with shoulders and hoping they would fall down afterwards than actually wrapping up. But that’s also the case when your defense is smaller in size, which makes me even more annoyed to keep running the 3-3-5. If you’re already a smaller defense, why take away an extra DL which would add size. Instead, you replace that with a LB or DB only to become smaller.

While I agree with the decision to run more and control the clock, I would’ve liked to see them score more in the second half or at least threaten to score on more occasions. I just didn’t see enough of that, honestly.

5 of 13 on 3rd down conversions against a FCS team
Our offense wasn’t as efficient in the second half. It was as if their defense adjusted better than ours. We struggled to score against an FCS defense in the 2nd half which worries me.

Their RB Sunday would look good in green. We need a battering ram. Little lightning and thunder action would be great

Our pass game might be... passable? 😎
That's really about it
Chandler has missed more of his deep throws than made. I heard that was the knock on him. I prefer staying to his strengths with the intermediate routes.

Aren’t assistants on 1-year contracts anyways?
That’s a good question. I have no idea. I know he was a DC at a DIII college before, but who are we kidding? He’s new to this as far as I’m concerned. This is the AAC and we want to win.

Isn’t it also worrisome we’ve had to go for it on a few fourth downs to continue our drives? I’m all for going for it on 4th and short, but 4th and 4+ a few times?

With new AAC money, shouldn’t we be able to swallow losing Craponi’s salary if he gets fired? There has to be a better option

Looks like ACU also runs the 3-3-5 defense. So, not just from our angle, but also looks like it doesn’t work for them. Scrap this defense, Morris. Can’t be fully behind you if you think this is a good idea.

On another worrisome note, what has happened to Rogers passing in this half?
Agreed. He hasn’t been accurate.

Keep using Adeyi on those stretch runs.

A coach that is stubborn and continues to march the same philosophy that doesn’t work isn’t a good coach. A coach who continues to allow his coaches to be his downfall is on him 💯

That has to be the 3rd time I’ve seen Caponi run 3 down linemen on 3rd and short. Am I the only one that’s seen that? WTF!!!

Why is Chandler looking to go for a lot of deep passes? Just be efficient and go for the intermediate routes.

I agree it's very concerning that after an off week, our defense still looks like it does tonight.
Nothing will change unless the guy running the D changes. I don’t think his philosophy is changing anytime soon.

Craponi will be the downfall of Morris if he doesn’t get this defense to improve. It’s sad when all of us are holding our breath even against an FCS team. I really need to see adjustments in the second half.
Morris needs to put that starting line back in and keep them until near the end of the game.-

I see they have been rotating OL. Some guys who haven’t played are plying now. Why? This is not a time to screw around. That’s why our offense has sputtered the last few series. They HAVE to be smarter than this. We’re not good enough to take anything for granted

I’m thinking Morris made a mistake offensively by continuing to throw passes instead of continuing to run. I’d we play smash mouth football, I don’t know if they can stop our RBs. Giving them more opportunity to score isn’t a smart move. Run the clock to halftime

Early Prediction - Will we hold Navy to less than 500 yards offense?

Isn’t he the head coach? He’s right at field level to see how terrible this defense has been. Now you’re entering conference games versus better opponents. You won’t be facing FCS teams. If they’re able to put 31 points on you, the scoreboard is gonna run out of LED lights
