I wish we could have methodical drives, but coach Morris always prefers to speed things up. I’m concerned the players on offense may sometimes feel rushed as well. Perhaps that could contribute to a lack of concentration, penalties, drops, busts in blocking. Since it’s doubtful the pace on offense will slow, maybe EM can call plays that get the ball downfield as opposed to swing routes and WR screens. We badly need this game. Let’s see who we really are.

How are you going to hitch your wagon on a newbie DC when this is your first FBS head coaching job? Apparently there was no backup plan if this didn’t work out but to keep running the same $hit over and over.

Looks like Landon Peterson is back at RG. Seemed like we were pretty good at pass blocking in game 1. Hopefully, we can break away from the game plan of throwing at or near the LOS so often, but downfield instead. Also excited to see our transfer RB play. I thought he looked decent last game. Big game today. Hope we got a lot of things corrected. Hopefully they learned a lot after being humbled.

I’m sure he’s very aware that our defense and DC are bad. However, everyone is already kicking them in the nuts for it. No need for the HC to do the same thing to his own team. And, coach Morris is definitely not off the hook. That’s his hire, so it’s on him too. If Caphony can’t get it done, he should have the insight to help create the game plan/formations/packages, etc…you know, like a real coach would do

Maybe it’s just me, but I get annoyed when they basically give generic answers to everything that’s asked. It feels like they’re just skirting the questions instead of acknowledging the difficulties during certain aspects of the game.

I would imagine $15M would be for those two elite AAC programs. I’m not so certain UNT would share that amount if invited…perhaps not yet anyways.

Welp…nothing on UNT yet. What percentage would you rate our chances to be invited. I think 25% sadly.

Let’s say Memphis and Tulane jump to the PAC, but we weren’t extended an invite. I wonder if our media shares in the AAC change from 50% to something much higher sooner along with those from C-USA? If the PAC is targeting 4 teams in the AAC, Memphis, Tulane, USF and UTSA seem to be the choices.

100%. Preaching accountability only sounds good when you don’t have to do it I guess.

Our defense will be our defense. What can’t happen is our offense to $hit their pants. Morris needs to slow it down some and try to go vertical with the passing. Too much swing passes IMO. Let those guys run routes and let Chandler read them. He made the correct reads against USA, so don’t take that away from him like I feel EM did this game. Too many quick hitting passes that seemed to be predetermined. Trust in Chandler

Money is the huge thing here. CRod elaborated on a lot of great points. For me, my biggest questions are: 1. IF UNT gets an invite, will they get full share or partial? If partial, for how long? In the AAC, 10 years of 50% revenue kinda sucks, but better than any other G6 conference 2. Will they help UNT pay their way out? 3. Our Olympic sports will definitely benefit from going into the PAC. Women’s volleyball/ soccer/softball, tennis and golf program - would be a wonderful opportunity.
