Why not come here and let EM develop you in a spread offense that’s had really good results. SMU backup qb (forgot his name) who got benched for Jennings. I bet he’d like to get another opportunity to prove Rhett Lashley wrong. Why not in an air raid system?

Tech just kicked our ass. Nothing we can do about it but get better and learn from it. It could actually be a blessing in disguise since it brought about our new 3-4 alignment. That’s if we keep playing good defense.

Actually, the next couple of weeks will be boring since we have a bye. But I know what you mean 😉

During the season, the offense typically goes against a scout team defense that runs the opponent’s style. So, they’re not running against our base defense.

That’s the big question. It would be nice to know, but I don’t think they’ll throw anyone under the bus by saying who decided and if anyone was demoted. The important thing is that they made the change and it’s working. Humility and a lack of a paycheck often can steer things right. With the announcers talking a lot about Caponi and his engagement on the sideline, he seems to still be calling plays. Maybe things the best version of Caponi and why we hired him away from a P4 program.

If you’re winning and no one sees…is it still really winning?

Since switching defenses, it’s as if we’re competing through all four quarters. Last year, we had really good performances only in the second half of games. I was impressed by how many times the Tulsa QB was so uncomfortable. Many times we forced him out of the pocket and had to throw while on the run. He just couldn’t really settle in. You can see the players really respond to this style of defense. I’m loving it right now.
