Brenen Lorient | F | 6-9, 215 | Junior
The most obvious and appealing candidate comes in the form of Brenan Lorient, who appeared in all 35 games as UNT's sixth man and was second on the team in scoring with 11.9 points per game. He also tallied 5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 blocks per contest as a hybrid power forward / center. He's an incredibly versatile big who operates both as a rim finisher and post creator who has solid handles and a legitimately good dribble jumper in his bag.
Atin Wright led the Mean Green in scoring, but Lorient may have been the most impactful player on the team in 2024. He can be effective creating for himself and playing off the ball in the halfcourt, and can fill a wide variety of roles with his dynamic offensive skillset and high-upside defense. He has the ability to switch 1-through-5 and bolstered a 6.4 percent block rate this past season (No. 104 nationally).
Lorient has one more year of eligibility remaining and began his career at FAU as a former 3-star prospect. He shot 57.9 percent from the floor and connected on 11 of his 23 three pointers this year (the season is still ongoing, however).
