Buggs had a 38.9% FG% and 39.6% 3PT% for 2022-2023. He ranked 43rd in 3PT% in the NCAA. Tylor Perry ranked 18 at 41.33%. Maybe at one point during the season Buggs was ranked 11th in the nation and shooting at or near 47%, but his final numbers are not close. The #2 ranked player in 3PT% shot 45.5% on the season.

Yes. Force opponent to use 30 seconds to get off a shot and force opponent to defend you for 30 seconds as you attempt to get the best shot possible. That philosophy is not going to change. The hope is that you can hit shots that you normally would miss due to having “better/more” skilled shooters.

This is going to be fun to watch play itself out. I have Edwards starting while Buggs and CJ battle to be primary "2nd scoring" option. Loser is 6th man. Just watching highlight/video clips and looking over stat sheets, Edwards is clearly the better shooter & scorer of the 3 - Statistically and while passing the eye test. Which of the remaining 2 options best compliment the 4 on the floor? Hoo would be unhappy with these options? It's a win-win-win situation for this staff.

Awesome read! Question - Where is the scoring coming from within the starting lineup? At first glance, I'm not seeing point production replacement from last season's departures.

I enjoyed hearing how they play to their player's strengths and stay away from their weaknesses as it relates to pace. It wasn't TP's game, so they played in the comfort zone of their guards. Will continue to hang their hats on defense while playing to current team's strengths. The new guys bring more speed & the defensive identify is going to remain intact. I am looking forward to seeing this group play!
