  1. You would agree that it is a step down (or 10) - No? 🤔
  2. It would take a moron to notice it.
  3. He was a bench player. I think it took about 8 games to become our leading scorer - from the bench. Impossible to win games without scoring points. As for faults, each player has many. Some refuse to take off their green glasses and acknowledge them. He plays for us - support should be a given.
  4. Actually 14-5 is not doing well for Virginia. 14-5 is great for UNT. The two schools are definitely not cut from the same cloth. Only a fool would attempt to argue that fact. But I am here now. May as well converse with the few folks that follow UNT basketball.
  5. He’s not perfect but he tries. Almost a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. UNT is definitely not a good fit for him and he is definitely not a good fit for UNT. But he’s here, and I just don’t understand the disdain that some posters have for him. I stopped defending my favorite player Matt Stone, but now I feel like I have to defend Edwards. It’s odd.
  6. Great team win. As for game ball, you may want to rewatch the last few minutes of the game. Every play that needed to be made was made by the JUCO kid. Even the defensive effort that kept SMU from getting a decent end of game shot. Can’t wait to watch him play for whoever next year. Should make quite a few happy around these parts.
  7. Keeps getting trapped. Where is the press break Coach?
  8. No Buggs or Rubin - both in sweats.
  9. Made it. Their student section is already full.
  10. It was a joke. Note to self: Do better!
  11. Memphis: 3 of 4 wins vs bottom half FAU: 3 of 4 wins vs bottom half Charlotte: 3 of 4 wins vs bottom half SMU: 2 of 3 wins vs bottom half UAB: 2 of 3 wins vs bottom half USF: 2 of 3 wins vs bottom half The above mentioned teams have each played a team in the top half of the conference and they have all lost. The entire conference has gotten fat on the bottom half of the conference. As for teams that have played two teams in the top half, they have all split.
  12. I gave you the trophy 🏆
  13. A tainted 1st place. Fingers crossed that they don’t award ECU the win after the Missed Calls Review committee meeting today.
  14. With a coaches challenge in play, I’m certain that CRH would have used his on the drive to the basket by Edwards where he was clearly fouled. Sink 2 FTs and the final play of the game doesn’t exist. No complaints from UNT on that game deciding no call. We could literally play this game all day.
  15. And then some. 🤣🤣🤣 We still drink left over champagne from our National Title win to drown out the recent sorrow. Not too many teams can say that.
  16. UNT 21-5 in last 26 road games. Tough sledding!
  17. Dang you beat me to it!!!!
  18. Really hard to write when you are excited!!! Down Goes Memphis!!!
  19. Really hard to win on the road in the AAC. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  20. Good teams go on the road, into your gym, kick your ass and leave! We’ll leave the Tower lit for ya!
  21. Where do you pull this from?
  22. The OOC loses are not “bad”, but there are too many. Winning the tournament is the only way this team’s name is called on Selection Sunday. This conference has 2 marquee names and one of those is suspect at the moment. Losing to Memphis will not be a “bad loss”, but it adds one more to the “look Hoo they lost to” and the “Hoo did they beat” total remains 0. Correct me if I am wrong, but after 15 games, our biggest win of the season remains a home overtime win over 9-8 UNI. We only consider it to be a “big” win because of their preseason “First” projection. They are firmly in 7th place in the Missouri Valley. Defeating the likes of Temple, Wichita State, Tulane, South Florida, Charlotte is not going to move the needle a micrometer. As a lifelong Hoo, I’ve gone through this before. 20-10 and beating Duke or Carolina once in Charlottesville never cut it. ACC road games are tough for non-NCAA teams. Duke, Carolina, and Virginia up until this season regularly walks into your gym, kicks your ass, and leaves. UNT boasts a .800 road winning record over the past 2/3/4 years (forgive me for I am still new), so I am literally at a loss to hear how conference road games are tough. Hell - all games are tough until the end when you win by 15. Apologies for the rant - we should win these 2 road games and NCAA tournament talk is just chatter sans winning the conference tournament. You want to be a 3 bid league, then you have to win OOC games vs NCAA teams. Only 2 teams in the AAC did that this season. A poor conference showing could derail one of those 2. The glass slipper has a crack in it. GMG
  23. Translation: Coaches are salesmen - they’ll tell you anything to get you to sign. Your bad situation could get worse. Just sucks that the first liar put you in the bad spot to begin with. Your first decision is the most important.
  24. Anyone seeing Charlotte struggle with Rice (tied at 66 less than 2 min remaining) and Temple hanging with SMU AT SMU 63-66 with 2 mins remaining?
  25. Just curious - Is it Charlottes win vs FAU that has you worried about them? Charlotte is now better than Tulane & Wichita State? 2 weeks ago they weren’t. 2 weeks ago UNT was in a cycle of lose what you win (win 2 lose 2, win 3 lose 3, win 4 ???) Based on the last 3 games, what element did the team miss that made you say “if we only had Rubin playing… if Buggs was available then…”?
