  1. He obviously means this team has lost a ton of close games and doesn’t close out. It has happened a lot this season. They were leading most of the 2nd, only down 5 at half anyhow
  2. Some of it is just luck but its been wild how we went from elite in the clutch to just really bad in close games from last year to this one
  3. Tragic, that would’ve had us back in it 😞
  4. Why not do that before? 30 seconds down 6, take 3s lmao. Gotta overcome the deficit
  5. Why are these getting downvoted, they’re just explaining the fact of the matter lol
  6. These refs love the sound of their own whistles
  7. A scott’s shot choice was rough there, pass out man
  8. Light the tower! Hope Scott is alright
  9. Pretty finish by Rubin
  10. I feel like their player realized quickly his contact was awful but smh with that and the no call charge they’re just playing football on our defenseless players
  11. Hope A scott is okay. When he came back to the bench for a bit his eyes looked really off, like delirious idk. Then they were holding him back in the hall before taking him to the hospital.
  12. Sadness
  13. Buggs was so good today
  14. WOOOOOOO light the tower!
  15. Bro that was the softest block with like 2 fingers on the ball. How is that even close to a foul
  16. That was my optimism speaking, I don't expect it at all haha. Sure, lots of room for improvement on the defense, we shall see
  17. Makes sense, Rogers wasn't nearly as highly rated when he came here so hopefully the system and coaching can make the new QB just as potent.
  18. So if it's one of the two QBs are we more or less excited than had we just been able to keep Chandler Rogers? I see both QBs are ranked lower in the 247 rankings than Rogers is. Though, I certainly want us to get one of them because I think they're better than what we have right now.
  19. Yeah we are definitely going to be a 2 bid conference minimum… just not sure we are getting one of those bids. Memphis and FAU look like bonafide top 25 teams if not top 10. It’ll be fun to see how we stack up against elite teams, hope we can click more by then
  20. Were the games he did play played through injury? 2 tds to 6 int with 44% completion rate sounds bad. His rookie year was better with TD:INT of 10:2 but just 56% completion rate. I haven’t watched him play so I assume others think the talent is there and the situation/injury hurt him, just curious.
  21. How is talking about the news surrounding a player in a forum where we discuss North Texas football something that bothers you? Neither my comment nor the one I responded to are hating for the sake of it, we hope he does well. It’s still a great pickup for the school.
  22. The reactions to your comment are perplexing. Took a few minutes of research to see there is some unexplained stuff. He was left off the team at one point at LSU for unknown reasons and also transferred to OU for 2 months before going back to LSU. He had three separate stints at LSU where he left the team before returning. https://lsutigerswire.usatoday.com/2023/08/09/lsu-football-tre-bradford-second-chance-brian-kelly-explains/# That isn’t a hater comment to make given his history. Hopefully he balls out and it comes together at North Texas.
  23. Felt like Aune was good for a pick 6 that guaranteed a loss every week so I will concur on that one
  24. I don't think its for lack of trying with the portal, we have a ton of offers sent for transfers, will see how it plays out. Just not sure we can compete with the budget of other schools. I am curious to see how many of these guys come back with how many players are in the portal. It may just be that this cycle will have an absurd amount of transfer players across the board to test the waters and see what money they can make. Rogers leaving would hurt a lot.
  25. Yeah especially when Shorter could've improved on his best season and still not been drafted. He has more of a NFL build, but our best WR recently in Darden put up about twice his yards and TDs and nearly won the award for best college WR in the country and he only went in the 4th round. Our players rarely get drafted, it took those insane stats just to get seen. 1000 yards and 15 touchdowns (a generous assumption) here would've never been a magic pill for Shorter to suddenly get drafted into the NFL. Hate the game not the players, they're just trying to do what is best for themselves. We don't need to do victory laps when players that played well for us don't have success at their next stop like jealous exes. Just root for the guys we have here on the team.
