We could have prime Tom Brady at QB but if our defense keeps giving up nearly 40 ppg we’re struggling to go 6-6

Cam Ward wasn’t ranked as a recruit when he went to UIW. 0 stars. He had 2 offers out of HS: UIW and Texas Southern. I’m not saying that Morris made Ward, but Morris certainly got the most out of him. We know of Cam Ward because Eric Morris helped put him on the map. Also, you say that we couldn’t get to 6-6 with Rogers. Our defense was one of the worst in the nation. Nothing to do with the offense that Morris put together. Pretty pointless to mention that when we all know that offense was never the issue

Morris and de Laura overlapped by like a month at WSU and Morris...kinda is the reason de Laura left WSU. Morris came from UIW, and he brought Cam Ward with him. Cam Ward got offered by WSU and de Laura hit the portal soon after. The same day that de Laura committed to Arizona, Cam Ward committed to WSU. Now obviously we don't know if they have any relationship, but with Morris essentially bringing in his own guy to replace de Laura, not quite sure that de Laura would be fond of playing for Morris

I’m not super worried, I am more confused than anything. Just surprised that we haven’t landed any QB as of now. I believe that Morris can make this offense work with whoever we have. A functioning defense is the most pressing issue

Stats show that he didn’t do any kickoffs this past season. Doesn’t mean he can’t do it, but as of right now that’s not his thing

Not trying to expose myself here, but he went to a local HS for me (Round Rock HS). The kid was LEGIT when it came to playing QB. Not sure what exactly happened down the line that led him to become a punter, but I'm glad he found his way to UNT!

When I went to UNT just a few years ago it seemed like every elective course that I took online had at least 1 football player in there. They're generally pretty easy classes lol. And now due to Covid, the amount of online classes that are offered is even greater. Schools do the best in their ability to make coursework easier for their prized athletes, which I'm not taking a shot at them, but it's just how it works.

JMU lost a substantial amount of guys to the portal as they followed their HC to Indiana. I’d assume that roster is looking to add anyone as they try to rebuild. Not sure about their NIL funding but they probably have a lot of money freed up after their max exodus

No matter who we have at QB we gotta keep them upright. You can have a great QB but if that line doesn’t block well it won’t work

I’ve checked his Twitter and he’s been radio silent on his recruitment for nearly a month now. He can return if he’s in the portal, players are allowed to withdraw. I’d accept him with open arms if he does want to return
