  1. Spending $500k+ to market a game against a lackluster opponent at that. Someone could see “UNT vs FAU this upcoming Saturday!” 1,000 times and every time go “Who cares about Florida Atlantic?”
  2. Ya, they beat Kennesaw State…who became an FBS team THIS SEASON. Real big moves going on in San Antonio
  3. Defense has been great the past 2 games. I don’t even really count the Tech game against Caponi too much because our offense did 0 favors for the defense. Seems like things are starting to click for the defense, now we just need the offense to put together sustained drives. It’s nitpicky, but we need to let the defense get a breather!
  4. Speaking of lights out, it looked like Evan Jackson laid a hit-stick on a Tulsa lineman during his return and that lineman seriously looked like he got knocked out…did anyone else notice that?
  5. From 0-3 to 24-3 in the blink of an eye
  6. Idc if you’re for or against black uniforms, you gotta admit that the script on the helmets looks AMAZING
  7. Such a messy situation all around. Apparently Cromartie isn’t even licensed. Sluka isn’t clean in all of this, but it seems like the “agent” and UNLV are both trying to take advantage of him/this situation
  8. I’m not a boomer, but I still appreciate when the band gets to play. That’s what makes it more of a CFB atmosphere rather than NFL. However I will say, the band does get very repetitive which can be boring. Hopefully a good mix of DJ and Band is found where neither side steps on the others toes
  9. I think we need to start winning some more before we start trying to get other teams tossed from the conference. We aren’t exactly in the safest of positions ourselves lol
  10. Somebody get this man a Coke!
  11. We are the “American” Athletic Conference. What’s more American than having all 3 service academies?
  12. Tulsa is a team that UNT should beat pretty handily. Hopefully we don’t play down to our competition as we have in the past and just steamroll over them
  13. Boise State went toe to toe with the current #8 team in the country, Oregon. Obviously a loss is a loss, but they showed that they’re a competitive team, at least in my opinion
  14. Personally I had no issue with the walk. That was just the excuse I would hear when I was in school. Honestly, I think it was just that, an excuse. UNT was very good my freshman year and the fan turnout was still meh. A lot of the student body just isn’t connected to sports. I’m not trying to make a political statement here AT ALL, but this may just be the reality as a liberal arts school, idk.
  15. Catering more to the students is a great idea. I also have to say, the location of DATCU is not ideal. It is technically "on campus," but it is an odd placement. Parking isn't ideal, and walking across the bridge is meh. It's not Miami levels of bad placement, but it does not help with attendance
  16. I was in attendance for the game. Texas State looked very good despite the loss. What stuck out the most was the fan turn out. Thursday night game and that stadium was LOUD. I wish UNT could get that kind of support
  17. So cool that UNT is using the Flying Worm more and more. When more sports logos are becoming minimalist, it’s great seeing UNT go against that
  18. Add on UNT’s immense amount of penalties and Juwaun Price’s heartbreaking injury and the game last night felt like it would never end
  19. I have nothing against Jake Roberts…but
  20. Am I crazy, or did we also do this last season? I love it btw, I just vaguely remember it, right?
  21. UNT fans: make jokes on a UNT message board Cougar King: WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS???????
  22. -DT Sheffield (only on offense…not as a returner)
  23. It’s excusable up to a certain point. We passed that point like 5 penalties ago lol
