  1. We keep Rice around so they can make the AAC look smarter
  2. Texas State won the bowl game but the coverage that Mestemaker has brought in for UNT makes it feel like we won lol. Obviously a loss is still a loss but his performance really softened the blow
  3. NIL. Simple as that. UNT isn’t the only school to be stripped of talent every year due to NIL either. I don’t put blame on the UNT football staff or the athletic department for players leaving because UNT just doesn’t have the money to compete with the big dogs
  4. Having sacks count against rushing yards in CFB doesn’t make sense to me. Drew would be pushing 500 total yards if that weren’t the case
  5. Maybe Chandler Morris was the friends we made along the way😌
  6. Funny enough, two Texas State fans got into an altercation in the stands right in front of me during the game lol. I think they got their fair share of beer
  7. UNT fans did not show up for this game. I’m over on the Texas State side and they got a solid turnout. The UNT side looks pathetic And before anyone asks, I’m on this side because my father (Texas State alumni) bought these tickets lol
  8. Texas State losing Mahdi is a huge blow for them. He hasn’t had as great a season as last year but that dude is legit. Sucks that we won’t get both teams at their best
  9. No need to apologize for enjoying a football game…Unless that game had SMU in it. If that’s the case then you’re dead to us
  10. I think this post is the opposite end of the EM spectrum compared to guys who want him fired lol. I think he falls in the middle. He’s a fine coach. Nothing special. Kinda been dealt a shitty hand now with NIL destroying the roster every season. Is there better out there? For sure. Is there worse out there? Ya, there’s much worse lol. Maybe just Seth Littrell Jr
  11. I don’t want to sound like a hater on this dude, because he’s obviously a good player, but if he’s getting $8 million then there’s clearly a problem with NIL
  12. How about instead of doom posting about the potential chance this kid transfers down the line, let’s give the kid his flowers for an amazing season. If he leaves in a year we address it at that time lol
  13. I don’t like SMU, but this is very “little brother” energy to have this thread
  14. We can start a UNT-Texas State board and just talk shit about UTSA on there all day
  15. University of Houston gets more support in Houston than UNT? Say it ain’t so
  16. Guy: Shits his pants Everyone: Dude you smell like shit Guy: Ha, they’re so obsessed with me This is you
  17. We have Juan Soto?!? See if he can donate some of that $750 million contract to our NIL
  18. It’s crazy that QB is a position I’m honestly not worried about. Somehow we even made Austin Aune work. Morris was good, but this was such an obvious move. He had a foot out the door the second he announced he was coming to UNT. Sadly, more transfers will come that probably hit a littler harder
  19. I saw this coming when he first came here. Oh well. The rotating door continues at QB. Idk if it’s just me but I’m not even upset about this. Morris was great but didn’t really feel like he cared about UNT, just the ability to build his stock
  20. Such a cool matchup imo. It’s fun pairing up these two schools. Should bring a good turnout. I will be in attendance with my father, who is a SWT alum! Can’t wait
  21. Crazy that this topic is coming up 17 years after it’s posting lol! I’ll add my 2 cents: I watched Deuce Vaughn in HS. Crazy to see such a small guy be as impressive as he was. His agility and burst were mind-blowing
  22. If you get the opportunity to play at somewhere like OU I can’t say I blame them for leaving Denton lol. Being a very average football program is a hard sell to keep kids home
  23. I’ve heard we’re in talks to play in the Toilet Bowl
  24. Caponi as a play caller was terrible, but he very well could have created meaningful relationships with these recruits. These are just kids, and maybe they connected well with Caponi on a 1-1 level. Personally don’t see the need to bash them
  25. K.C. Keeler had a lot of praise for Cassity when he hired him, and compared him to another young, promising defensive mind that he hired back in 2014... Current HC at Oregon, Dan Lanning. I'd say that being compared to the HC of the #1 team in the country is a pretty good sign that Cassity is on the right track
