This is an absolute nightmare, it's just like north Texas to not capitalize on a head coaching change going into the aac. I don't understand how anyone can spin this unless Mack announces an insane donation within a couple of days. Just pathetic mismanagement of assets.

I would think if he's on staff it would be in a different capacity maybe some type of pass/run game coordinator with associate or assistant head coach title.

If fuente is the pick for HC. Who do we expect him to bring or keep? A couple names I would look out for Director of Player Personnel- Beau Davidson OC/Wide receiver coach- Holman Wiggins RB Coach- I would suspect Cobbs is safe unless fuente has a slam dunk here. Pass Game Coordinator/QB coach- Brad cornelsen DC - Phil Snow or Elijah Robinson

Oof you are right the other 2 were Danny Mac assistants. That's an oversight on my part, my apologies.

I'm warming up to him especially after seeing the other 5 on your list. What do you think about him and seth having so many mutual assistants over the years? Do you have any concerns with him being the next HC?

I know man and he definitely turned around Memphis and laid a good foundation there, he just doesn't move the needle for me in recruiting or being a brand ambassador for the university. If (or when) he's the pick I'm on board (well we all kinda have to be I guess) just highly skeptical and tired of having to hope my NFL team wins on Sundays just to salvage my sports weekends until basketball starts.

Fuente is a good coach, Seth is a good coach. They have a lot of mutual assistants over their time as head coaches ( I stopped counting at 6). They both lack in what the program needs. Brand recognition should always be at the forefront of our hires until it's not an issue. Until these coaching hire articles don't accidentally say north Texas state, Texas state or the mean Joe Greens. Last year we could've had herman or sanders this year if we get fuente and promote Mosley it's an awful look into our athletic department and lack of fixing the route issue of the university. We do these things and it's the most north Texas "change" we could have.

He's being a little dramatic, we would still be competitive probably even a little more so than with Littrel. I just think they are very similar in everyway, this move could've been made last year and I would have been more accepting of it. Seth was in it this year so why make a change when the follow up is very similar. Just seems like a waste of money for the sake of change.

If it's fuente that's a very uninspiring pick. Seth and Fuente same package different wrapping. This will not move the wire in recruiting at all, going into AAC we need better. At least try Riley obviously that last name will resonate with prospective players/families more than fuente.
