  1. Morris doesn’t want his defense n the field. He’s going into every drive assuming Army will score. If they don’t, it’s a bonus. Shorten the field. Make it quick, get the offense back on the field.
  2. I’m a fan of the JUCO route. 2 years of weights. 2 years away from home. 2 years of tape against bigger/stronger comp. In my mind, money better spent. money spent on a HS kid that doesn’t hit the depth chart their Fr year then leaves out of frustration, is money thrown away.
  3. Storming the field with 900 students won’t have quite the impact you are hoping for.
  4. Haha. Yes, yes I did.
  5. This cannot be overstated and it really has little to do with wins and losses. The defense is so subpar that it no question impacts our opportunities for success.
  6. i may be wrong but i think that is in conjunction with moving NIL to the schools. they'll be contracts instead of NIL. maybe.
  7. if he plays 2 seasons and we accomplish something (AAC champ game or bowl victory), then I'm in favor. if not, then i'm not. i need something more than 'threw for a s-ton of yards' to get my vote.
  8. That is correct. You get butts in seats by winning. Winning a game that means something. Winning a game against a tough opponent in front of the home crowd. That’s not happening very often. We’re in the middle of the DFW metromess with hundreds of other options to do on a Saturday at 11:00, on a Saturday at 2:00 and on a Saturday at 6:30. People want instant gratification and will look elsewhere to find it. No one wants to willingly be let down.
  9. I think the argument is much of the same. Win ➡️ NIL. NIL ➡️ Win. By and large, our alumni base does not have deep pockets. Sure, there is money out there, but the per capita has to be low. Given the history of this program, if you were a potential wealthy doner, would you write a fat check?
  10. We def improved. The HIT6 crowd on ignore
  11. It will be a test of the leadership we have. Both on staff and in the huddle.
  12. This. Very much this.
  13. Wasted because of a terrible defense. Yes, we’re 5-3. Yes, we’re most likely going bowling. Yes, this season will shake out better than we thought. But the offensive success we’re having could have gotten us over the hump. Could have taken us to places we only dream of. But because of the defense, we’re still middle of the pack.
  14. This is the whole ‘chicken and egg’ argument, for me. To attract the bigger, stronger, better players, you have to win….consistently. To win consistently, it helps to have bigger, stronger, better players. How does it get fixed? I have no idea. But it’s the biggest challenge outside of NIL that I see for this program.
  15. I trust that Mosley will be better at price control next time. Only skins on the wall will garner top G money.
  16. What exactly is there to eat?
  17. Money shouldn’t play into a decision at all. He’s owed 225 (or 475, whatever) whether he is here or not not. If he’s gone, they will interim-replace from within for the rest of the season, not hire from outside. No added cost.
  18. 'Hope' was a poor choice of words on my part and not a lot of thought put into it. but you and everyone else knew the point I was making. So BV didn't make this change to try to improve an underperforming unit? Whether it saves his job or not is irrelevant. The offense didn't meet a standard that they expect and making a change was necessary to improve what ails them. BV, like every other HC, owes it to the program to always put program first and do what is necessary to be successful.
  19. I think so too.
  20. Wait, so you can fire a coordinator mid-season, replace from within and hope that things turn for the better? blasphemy.
  21. But what shade of blue?
  22. What? Yep. - We won’t make the conference championship. - We’ll probably go bowlin with no guarantee of being successful. - Games will continue to be unnecessarily stressful The immediate future of our program hinges on a decision with the DC. Make a change, outlook could be promising. Stand pat and we’ll continue to struggle, be frustrated and recruiting could be impacted. I, for one, am ready for a change. But more so ready to see if a change will be made. Only Morris knows how he really feels about the present and future.
