    Word spread on the board that SL hadn't posted anything on Twitter about the Bowl Game. Hours later, it was announced he was let go. Negative reaction spread on the board, at break neck speed, about the possibility if KP getting the new HC gig. Hours later, tunes have changed and he'll be reportedly staying at Tech. The power of GMG.com ?

    Suspect Day 1 would be the day after firing and if in fact there is a 10-day window, there probably is a defined time too, 2:00p for example. All speculation but I believe you are probably spot on with your Wednesday prediction.

    But how many times has it been said on this board “if our HC is moving up, that means he was successful here”. So what do we want? A 15-yr coach or someone that turns is around and moves “up”. We’re unlikely to get both.

    I suspect, given their roles, WB was more active. But that comes with the title. I would expect JM to be more active given the same.

    I love conspiracy theories. Especially while we’re sitting in the proverbial dark. I believe the SL announcement came earlier than they had planned in part because of [lack of] twitter activity. Something fun to keep an eye on.

    Those still on staff are still on staff and should be recruiting. Even if, at a minimum, kicking the tires and/or building relationships. Is someone recruiting him, who knows. But someone, or multiple someones, on staff is working the portal to some extent.

    Momentum, yes. But bowl losses and conf champ losses were always speed bumps in that momentum. There is too much going on in DFW for fans to get excited about straw man victories. Get someone in here that wins. Not just wins, but WINS. Everything will fall into place.
