Keeler took over for Fritz after he went to Tulane. Recruiting at Sam is tough. Is Keeler the right guy? I don’t know. I went to quite a few games the last couple of years due to my youngest going to school there and all. Does he win the championship if Trey Lance doesn’t play for NDSU in the Spring 2021 season? Probably not. But he is personable and can get some overlooked kids to go to Huntsville of all places. Not sure how Sam moving up to CUSA next season impacts him fielding looks. Could be a good coach for UNT.

And Deshaun Watson returned to Houston today to face his old team and signed jerseys and took pics with former teammates. Why anyone on his former team would associate with him after his quitting on the team and town is beyond me. The pro athletes sicken me among with others who act in a manner like Mixon and Watson.

I don’t think that was it. I did hear that his hiring in Mt Vernon was a shock to some in the town as they hadn’t heard about the board considering him until it was a done deal then announced.

Art Briles coached at Mt. Vernon HS (Dandy Don Meredith hometown) for a couple years then resigned for some reason. Not sure if he thought he would get an opportunity in college or what by resigning. Seth has to go. It’s time to find someone else to lead the program into the AAC and forward.

Of course I would like for UNT to grow into a good football program who consistently competes and wins at a high level. Beating SMU is a must. But how does messaging about all these negative things you mention accomplish anything? Support the team, go to the games, stay to the end or don’t.

Bitching about it on a forum isn’t doing anything. Would I like them to be more elite? Of course. But I don’t get to make those decisions and neither do you.

Every time I walk in his store with my NT hat he stops and talks with me. He has a signed NT helmet on display as you walk in. I haven’t been able to determine who all signed the helmet.
