  1. For some reason they decided it's no longer just members of the alumni association who can come in this year but everyone is admitted for free. We were there right after the walk in and it was a little crowded but we got there early to try and get a table and ended up getting one of the last ones. They definitely need to expand it so it's not so crowded.
  2. SHSU had no offense but to watch a game in an air conditioned stadium in September for $5 plus parking was worth it. Youngest graduated from Sam. Their defense is good, they have no spark on offense.
  3. Techsters-37 Denton-24
  4. I was at the game in Austin as it was my senior yr. I also drove up from Houston for the embarrassing loss against FCS Portland St only drive back home the same day and to hear the next day that Mac was fired after the loss.
  5. I fully expect ACU to win in Denton. Wouldn’t surprise me at all.
  6. Some of us are already there and haven’t been contacted yet.
  7. Someone should at least knock on the door and talk to Patterson. The answer is always no unless you ask.
  8. Stone Earle shouldn’t see the field again unless it’s due to injury. He’s not a D1 QB.
  9. This didn’t age well, especially with him throwing for a ton of yards against Houston. We have no WB worthy of stepping on a D1 field as a starter nor D1 coaches.
  10. Can’t do that and hurt anyone’s feelings in today’s environment. LOL
  11. Don’t think Rice is on the schedule for 2023.
  12. I want to change my season win prediction to 1 from 2-3. We might beat Abilene Christian. Sam Houston could beat us and they finally scored a field goal in Q3 tonight for their first points of the season.
  13. Wow, and ya’ll lost to Rice.
  14. JT Daniels is on his 4th school after 2 yrs at USC, 2 yrs at Georgia, 1 yr at WVA and now Rice and never had to sit out a year.
  15. It’s miracle if we win, even though some say FIU is not that good because they barely beat Maine. This is gonna remind us of the McCarney game against Portland St.
  16. Lack of tackling, too many turnovers. A D2 QB is not gonna win, put in a different QB with athleticism.
  17. We drove up from the Houston area for yesterday, I was a little disappointed in the march, Morris didn't really interact with the crowd. Even though the caterer let down the Alumni at the pavilion, my wife and I had a good time before the game visiting with staff and others while we were there. Walking in before the start of the game, we ran into Joe again. Saw him here in Houston a few years back, said he hoped to see me at a game, well he did. I was at UNT when his son Major played for the Mean Green. The water stations were a great idea. We used those multiple times throughout the game. I remember being at the UH/Texas Tech game here in HTown a few years ago and people were getting heat stroke and passing out it was so hot, and UH had not planned for anything. It was hot, even though we were in section 209 row 13 and the sun was not directly on us after 3:30. Seems to me the home side of the field was packed and thinned out after halftime. Glad they got the basketball team their recognition and Tyler Perry was able to come back for it. Disappointed in the product on the field though. Didn't leave me much of a reason to drive up from Houston any more unless things change. So be on the lookout of me offering my 2 seats plus blue lot parking from time to time, and it has chairbacks already installed.
  18. the field looked drab in person.
  19. My wife snapped this as we were walking to Gate 2. Kinda caught Joe off guard.
  20. Shoemaker is a much better QB than Gunnell. He has been at Sam for while now and knows the system. SHSU played tough against BYU, only lost 14-0. And even though Shoemaker had 3 Int, they could beat Air Force this weekend in Houston.
  21. Cam Ward saved him at UIW and WSU. He doesn't have anyone to do that here.
  22. After Saturday's showing against a mediocre Cal team lead by Jake Spavital's offense again, we'll be lucky to win 2 games.
