Kinda simple to me - if your ok with .500 keep him by all means - want something more - get a new leader. Oh and going .500 moving into next year will be much tougher in the American as we all know. Hope good things for Seth but think we are in a bit of a funk and sometimes you just have to pull the pin !

Pandoras Box was opened - this will not end well - it’s not like players have not been paid for decades but now it’s out in the open and running out of hand already. Maybe the P5 schools and G5 schools have to forge new paths that go different directions in the future - G5’s won’t be able to gather 10mil in NIL funds like Kiffin - that’s ridiculous! Years ago I remember the word “parity” that is going to die hard in college football 🏈 This is moving into more of a developmental league for the pros in the P5 levels.

The HC we need is on the Broyles List - there are several - but I do get risk with OC hiring if they have had no HC experience 🤔

Remember when we got into a bowl for good academics w/5 wins a few years back ? Now look at the last few years and bowls - we seem to like the back door route vs marching in the front like, 95% of schools do. Yes we could beat up on Rice and somehow get by UTSA but that’s just not how we tend to do things around here unfortunately. We appear to be somewhat of a Jekyll and Hyde team for sure - I mean we spank WKU and lay an egg the next week - this is coaching to me (agreed the running back situation was bad but based on the 2nd qtr passing we had tools to win- but stunk it up) We need a Big Shift moving into the American in my humble opinion but not sure we show the balls to make that jump ? Guess we will see!

Man this is a tough one - they get their starting QB back, they lost to UTSA, they are very sharp at home, all bad things! Our RB room is down right now somewhat, their RB concerns me and which Aune do we get ? I guess we will see if the bunch we have has Truly got locked in over the last two weeks - seems reasonable but I’m struggling a little on this game😕 Mean Green 35 UTSA 31 To me it’s who controls the line of scrimmage since both play a physical brand of football 🏈

Seems like the RB list is shorter as I think only one might play ? No Farrar, Landis, etc ? Back up QB interesting-

Spread is Running 4.5 to 6 - interestingly the sentiment is leaning towards the Mean Green to win though! Looks like they get their starting QB back which is surely helping them spread-wise. I like our chances - I’m a Ragsdale fan and think with Smart and Farrar we’ll get it done on the ground to open up some passing options!

Just thinking out loud - we have kicked around the Portal and the “pandora's box”’ it appears to be, and the next P box - NIL - so we have aired these two topics out pretty well BUT 🤔 Something I’ve been pondering this week is what is Seth and his current staffs skill set on keeping key players? We made a late recovery with KD right but we did lose some good players too over the last couple yrs. What is the forums view on Retention? I’m just can’t seem to get my balance on where we are at - kinda thinking probably no better skills on the portal or retention? A Given - we will lose some to a P5/G5 school here and there, I get. I think sometimes it seems like Seth, Bennett and Co have good player relationships and other times they seem to be not communicating well - maybe its just me but thought this deserved some discussion! Losing 4 key starters is just as impactful as getting 4 good portal finds, in my book. Thoughts 🤔

Well let’s see who wants it more, over the next 2 games! We are for sure capable to win out (even being down 3 RB’s) but can the coaching staff and teams leaders stay locked on ? Kinda thing this is a true test of what we are made of, this season! Hoping for the best !

The Worm was Flying High Today ! I’d say we scored a higher proficiency number on the defensive side of the ball, Offense was strong but once again tossing 2 pics is a bad habit to perpetuate weekly - we have seen good teams make you pay, for your mistakes. Special teams were solid for the most part. Wished UAB could have pulled off a win - they will try to “save face” on us for sure. However, based on the last two games we are in as good of a place as we could be right now overall, to win out !

Great for our DB Ridge - had a hell of a great season and deserves to be noticed- you take him and M Richard’s from Juco and Div II respectively- solid impact right! Good PR for Ridge and NT - hoping we keep them both !

Just part of the whole enchilada in our lack of local support from the City - not sure that the present administration even gets it as I think we broke the connection some years ago somehow and neither side “Denton city or UNT” has lifted a finger to fix it - I could be way wrong and or one or both sides have tried over the years BUT this story only improves with a genuine effort from both sides - Need to put the “pride” on the side chair and let’s get to work folks - this could be a real cool story someday, if we finally can address this huge mrkt gap that both parties could benefit from! As ESPN says “C’Mon Man”

Love to see Farrar get some action as I think he’s the next Torrey for us - super fast and enough beef to deliver a few shots on incoming DB’s ! Farrar is maybe being protected as he tends to run somewhat recklessly(I love it) and or don’t want him to get nicked up 🤔 Landis is probably the safer answer. No clue on Jackson?
