If/when FSU leaves, the Seminoles and Clemson would likely be SEC-bound. UNC and UVA, which both have AAU accreditation, would join the Big Ten as basketball and academic fits. The Big 12 would likely try to poach Louisville, NC State, VA Tech, Pitt, and/or GA Tech. There will be a big game of musical chairs played when the ACC crumbles, but unlike the Pac-12, there is a contingency plan to keep the ACC alive: Memphis, Tulane, Wazzu, Oregon State, UConn, and USF making the jump from the Group of Five ranks. Enough ACC schools likely won't get invites to the other conferences since there's only so much revenue split current members will want to take part in, so with the Pac-2 schools and AAC programs making the jump, survival would be more than possible. The American would simply pluck programs from the Sun Belt and Conference USA, and those conferences would fold FCS schools that qualify for FBS membership into their ranks. Ditto, I am thinking about cancelling my season tickets as well. I just got laid off and so I need to keep the budget lean. I promise as soon as I land a job I will reup. Being in IT has been tough.

I mean it is not even a question, Baylor has always been Grant's dream job and he will be the next guy if Drew leaves. Baylor has biog pockets and will be able to buy him out.

When are we going to hear some good news?
JT Hammons replied to Shark84's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I mean if we released him the feelings had to be mutual no? Maybe with the other portal defections we determined he would no longer be a good fit? @Cooley or anyone else please feel free to chime in. -
KD Davis comes to my mind, but I am sure there are others.

(3/6/2024) Texas FBS Power Poll: UNT #10
JT Hammons replied to Glory to the Green's topic in Mean Green Football
Quite frankly with what little they did to change the defense and personnel we deserve to be there. Hope I am wrong but we have been here before. -
Good signs for the future. Thanks so much for tracking it for us.

JT Hammons replied to TripleGrad's topic in Conference ReAlignment
We are already struggling to compete in this conference as it is even with SMU leaving. I am not sure that heading west would be a good move. I do agree with you that we will probably lose some teams to ACC. The key seems to be Florida State and what they do. After being undefeated and not going to playoffs the writing is on the wall. -
I really like Jared but this smacks of a really poorly thought out decision. Wyoming will not bring jack squat to this game. They negatively recruit UNT and have for decades. The only reason they want this game is so they can try and poach recruits our of our backyard. They bring absolutely nothing to the table for us. They are using us and it is frustrating to observe.
