Anyone have an idea of what will transpire for UNT and Littrell? Will it be “stand by your man” or “run to the hills”?

New 3-PART Justin Fuente Interview
cousin oliver replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
I am enjoying this. He seems like a really good guy. He seems to be learning from his mistakes which is a good sign as well. -
UAB is really good..

Did you read the article? Coaches like Nick Saban praising the hire and also his accomplishments at Michigan and other places? Nick Saban doesn’t seem like a guy that gives out false praise.

This looks like a really great hire:

I respectfully must disagree. Brown has been very successful at the G5 level. He did not fare well at the P5 level but in his defense his location and resources are near the bottom of Big 12 teams.

‘23 OT Darion Reed - FTW Chisholm Trail
cousin oliver replied to 97and03's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Looks like the other schools are using the fact Littrell is on the ropes against us now: -
I had not realized that we had a second bye week. Why is that? So now we get to stew about things for 2 full weeks? Ugh.

What does it take for Seth to stay now?
cousin oliver replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Pure speculation on my part, but doesn't Wren want to make a hire of his own? He has not made a football hire at the FBS level and it seems to me that is something he needs to do not just because Littrell isn't the answer but also because he needs a top notch football hire to pad his resume? Just seems like even if Seth wins the Rice game that is a game he was supposed to win. If somehow Seth is able to win the C-USA championship I imagine the only way Wren will extend is on a very short (22 years?) time period with a tiny buyout. -
Most of the.people I know think this would be a tough night so no harm done if we still win CUSA Championship. Amirite?

Here we go again? Conference Changes?
cousin oliver replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
This changes nothing except solidify that we are heading to the exact right conference, After a few coaching changes the AAC is going to be really really good. -
South Florida fires head coach Jeff Scott

I feel like they could be quite formidable again with the right head coach. -

Only Extend Seth Littrell Only if...
cousin oliver replied to NorthTexasWeLove's topic in Mean Green Football
Agree 100%. It would need to be a 5 year extension or Jeff Traylor would use it against us as he has a 10 year guaranteed deal. -
What triggers a Seth Extension in your mind?
cousin oliver replied to cousin oliver's topic in Mean Green Football
I am not saying we extend him but if we do it has to be for 5 years or you are just giving UTSA and Jeff Traylor a huge advantage in recruiting. -
If you have suggestions let me know and I will try to edit accordingly.

How Seth Littrell’s tenure at UNT will play out
cousin oliver replied to DeepGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
I mean the dream scenario is that he wins out and we win the rematch with UTSA and gets his first conference championship. I can see him and Wren giving each other a huge bear hug in the middle of the Alamodome. The real life scenario is he will get beat bad at WKU on the road, beat FIU at home, lose to UAB on the road and barely beat Rice at home to qualify for a shitty bowl that he will lose.- 20 replies

Loving the North Texas State retro! We should go back to it. Rolls off the tongue so nicely. Those were our glory days.

I'd be good with Fuente but I would love to see Neal Brown bring Graham Harrell with him!
