I didn't realize he was from Steel HS in Cibolo, Texas. Looks like he did not have a ton of interest coming out of HS and used UNH as a building block for his career. Big question mark is can he compete at this level though.

2022-23 UNT Men’s Basketball Schedule DENTON — The North Texas men’s basketball team’s broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2022-23 season has been released. The back-to-back-to-back Conference USA champions, who are scheduled to play 31 regular season games this season, will play five games on national television and 19 on ESPN+. North Texas' Jan. 26 matchup versus UTSA at the Super Pit will be broadcast on ESPNU. The Mean Green, who won a program-record 25 games and a won program-record 16 league games last year, will play two games on CBS Sports Network: Jan. 5 at WKU and March 2 versus Middle Tennessee. Good post and let me add to everything else we have in terms of assets, how about all of the journalists and sports writers we have with a UNT diploma out there to help spread the message and being attention to the program. I feel like we are getting C+'s when we should be getting A's in terms of our upside potential. And yes, we need a SALESMAN as HC. Someone who will inspire the alumni and fans to be more engaged in the program. Seth is more of an analyst. We miss tons of news cycles because he just never says anything and doesn't engage the audience.

Sad to say you are correct. UNT is always looking to hire someone that is safe and won't ruffle any feathers it seems. I think that's partly why they are hesitant to do anything with Seth. Yes he's a mediocre coach but he doesn't get in much trouble with HR.
