I know his sounds odd but I really could care less about the AD and am much more interested in the head coaching hire at this time.

I voted for Thomsen in the poll and think he is the best candidate of the ones I've seen. Also he has worked with Mosley before so I would think he would be good to work with again.

No offense but Wren was probably the best fundraiser we ever had at NT. Way better than RV for sure.

Art sadly for him and his family is beyond repair in this day and time. Kendall is another story and although he still has the stink of that Baylor rape chapter, several major schools have studied his involvement and deemed he was not guilty. The UNT job is more about do we go with a guy with prior head coaching experience, ala Justin Fuente or back to what we did when we hired Littrell in a rising young coordinator. The problem with someone like Fuente is does he still have the fire in his belly after getting a huge buyout from Va Tech? The problem with a young coordinator is we could be hiring Littrell 2.0. UNT desperately needs a coach that can engage the donors and the alumni base. It also needs someone who has a proven track record of successful recruiting. Portal ability would be a plus.

West Virginia has named Wren Baker as its new athletic director, the school announced on Wednesday. Baker was the athletic director at North Texas and has emerged as one of the most respected young administrators in college sports since arriving there in 2016. Sources told ESPN that Baker agreed to a six-year deal to lead the Mountaineers' athletic department. Baker oversaw North Texas' impending transition to the American Athletic Conference from Conference USA and helped build North Texas' facilities to some of the best at the Group of 5 level. During Baker's tenure there, North Texas has reached the second round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament and gone to bowl games in six of the past seven seasons. North Texas (7-5) plays at UTSA this weekend in the Conference USA football championship game. Baker's hires at North Texas include men's basketball coach Grant McCasland, who has either won the regular season or league tournament in Conference USA the last three years. For Baker, the appeal of the West Virginia job is the opportunity to lead a Big 12 program. He's a graduate of Oklahoma State, where he served as a graduate assistant coach for Eddie Sutton. Baker has been choosy about his next step over the years, and has remained at North Texas in part because of that school's aggressiveness to keep him. Baker's latest known salary is just under $800,000 per year, which puts him among the highest-paid athletic directions in the Group of 5. Meanwhile, we are still in shock on losing our AD and if we get lucky we will have an AD search committee formed by Feb 2023...

Alibi Sports is closer to the Alamodome and might be an early and after spot to consider. There are quite a few places and hotels right across the high from the Alamodome. I plan on getting there pretty early so I will meet up wherever.
