  1. Agreed but gosh he’s got so much talent if he could just stay healthy!
  2. That’s why II think he should be an immediate starter!!
  3. Shouldn’t we be adding the new Nebraska transfer WR to the projected starting lineups?
  4. After visiting five colleges in the spring, Denton (Texas) Braswell cornerback prospect Dylan Smith is close to scheduling his summer visits. "I have been talking with Arkansas and Colorado about getting out to both of those schools on an official visit," he said. Smith plans to check out Boulder for the first time in June. Houston, North Texas, Oklahoma State and SMU were the other programs Smith visited this spring. He has received a total of 14 offers throughout his recruitment, with all of the aforementioned schools included in his list of college options. Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Nebraska, Stanford are some of Smith's other offers. His older brother Cam Smith is currently a redshirt freshman cornerback at Oklahoma State. https://247sports.com/college/colorado/Article/Denton-Texas-Braswell-cornerback-Dylan-Smith-plans-to-visit-Colorado-Buffaloes-Arkansas-Razorbacks-this-summer-187444356/
  5. Good win but should have never been so close.
  6. I agree with you. Also would add that the state used to pay a much larger share of the cost in years past. The politicians in Texas have shaved the budget down to dangerous levels.
  7. Best to Kason. Never really understood why he was not given a chance here.
  8. Mike Brey doesn't want to hear complaining from well-compensated coaches about the NIL landscape, and wants to see everyone "shut up and adjust." Every day there seems to be a new quote from a college football coach about how unhappy they are with the current state of NIL. It took a good 10 months, but after allegations of coaches tampering with players and NIL incentives being offered to get guys to transfer or players saying they need more NIL money after a standout year or they're threatening to transfer, the NCAA shared a few days ago now that they're going to start cracking down on NIL rules. The NIL has been a huge adjustment for coaches, especially those that have been around the game for decades, but like it or not, this is the future of college athletics and there's no putting the toothpaste back in the tube. Notre Dame men's basketball coach Mike Brey is one coach who has gone on the record sick of hearing the bickering from his coaching colleagues in basketball and football. "Coaches have got to stop complaining," Brey shared with ESPN yesterday during the annual ACC spring meetings. read more: https://footballscoop.com/news/mike-brey-on-coaches-complaining-about-nil-shut-up-and-adjust
  9. The NCAA is moving forward with the understanding that any deals struck over the past 10 months that violated its NIL policy may not be pursuable from an enforcement perspective, but is instead focused on preventing recruits and players from choosing schools based solely on who can pay the most. (Which, in that case, good luck.)
  10. It appears that UNT now has their NIL partner selected and in place.
  11. Jim Niesh bio link Appears to have ties to Learfield IMG who I believe UNT has done business with before.
  12. Interesting look at UTSA’s newly formed collective and where the money is flowing: https://runnersrisingproject.org/utsa-nil-tracker/
  13. Why is Wren sticking with this?
  14. Did anyone really believe losing do a crappy Miami of Ohio team in our own backyard was a good sign? And spare me the fact DeAndre sitting out is why we lost. I’ve never been so unenthusiastic about an upcoming football season. Just feels like Wren and Dr. Smatresk mailed this one in.
  15. I blame the UTSA win. Had we not win that damn game we probably would be in a completely different situation. Winning that game forced @wren to bend the knee. Now we must all sit and wait. #demoralizing
  16. Thank you from posting that. I got to watch it and it was really good.
  17. I am not naive and I get this stuff happens at programs much bigger than ours. With that in mind, I respectfully tend to agree with Andrew on this. Let just stop pretending that we are so damn happy a great player is choosing to leave us the team that believed in him so much and gave him his shot when many others didn’t. Please stop normalizing the hurtful effects of the portal. It’s very disingenuous. And you come across as very insincere. It’s a bad look and it just makes it easier for the next guy to bail.
  18. TEXAS does anyone have YouTube link to scrimmage?
  19. They clearly see something in him and it’s not like they have a lot of time. He has a lot of physical gifts and who knows maybe this is the season where he puts it all together.
  20. Sad but so damn true. Our own residents can’t afford to buy a house because the investors have priced them out of the market. No wonder we can’t get the people to work. They have no future. Sad!
