Recruiting Services Ratings
meangreenfaninno replied to El Paso Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
All of these recruiting services are kind of a joke now with most of the announcements being from the players on twitter. They never have and never will really scout players that fall into the 3 star category. Just not enough money in it for them. -
I seriously doubt it as the entire campus is closed. He could get in deep doo doo if he is because insurance won't cover anything non official. I swear man UNT under Smatresk will take every possible weather day off they can for any reason!

I agree with you @GrayEagle, he was a 1st team all state 6A selection and has great size. Here is some video I found. I apologize in advance as it is only one clip but he is double teamed by two linemen and makes the play. Dude is a beast! https://www.maxpreps.com/tx/frisco/lone-star-rangers/athletes/blake-fann/media/videos/?careerid=1rtmlubg6ptue&videoid=25034743-c308-42b3-b8c7-13f6090d293b

The Texas Aggies are scoring big points in Fort Worth. On Jan. 19, Texas A&M University announced an expansion of its Fort Worth campus, dubbed Aggieland North by Chancellor John Sharp. The excitement of a football victory met the big announcement. The three-building compound will be constructed on four blocks at the site of the Texas A&M School of Law. The new project will be a part of Fort Worth’s planned redevelopment near Cowtown’s convention center. Chancellor Sharp and university leaders made the announcement at the university’s temporary offices in Fort Worth’s Burnett Plaza. Construction will begin this summer on its first building, the Law & Education Building. Stantec will serve as the architect of record and provide planning services, working in partnership with the design architect, Pelli Clarke & Partners. Construction management teams will be Turner Construction Company, CARCON Industries, Source Building Group Inc., and Dikita Enterprises. “A top-10 public research institution ensures Fort Worth’s future is rooted in the next economy driven by an educated workforce, whether it be lawyers, engineers, health care professionals or technology workers whose jobs don’t even exist today,” the chancellor said in a statement released by the university. “Thanks to our partners, the city of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, the Texas A&M System is investing in a unique public-private sector endeavor that will be a magnet for economic growth for the North Texas region.” read more: https://candysdirt.com/2023/01/30/gig-em-fort-worth-texas-aggies-scoring-big-in-downtown-cowtown-with-three-building-campus/

FSU football: Thoughts on Dylan Brown-Turner recruitment FSU football signed 17 prep players in the Early Signing Period last month, with nine enrolling early. Most thought the staff would be done with high school players in the class until they sent out a late offer on Christmas Eve. Three-star linebacker Dylan Brown-Tuner, a North Texas commit was the recipient, although he had been building a relationship with the FSU coaching staff over the past year. Then the question was, would he officially visit, which would mean he’s a legitimate option for the Noles? Brown-Turner officially visited FSU over the weekend and spoke with Noles247 before leaving the campus. Before I read this interview, I had shared on social media I thought the staff could have probably gotten an equal or better player from Georgia or Florida. However, the interview provided insight into why the staff may take him in this class. Here’s his thoughts on what the staff told him: “They actually got my measurables today. And he said just by my frame, with what I weighed in at, that’s great size coming in. Him and a few of the players and some more coaches, like DeLoach, his body frame and size, speed, the way they use him as a QB spy, he has great speed tracking down ball carriers. That’s how they envision my playing style.” READ MORE: https://chopchat.com/2023/01/30/fsu-football-thoughts-dylan-brown-turner-recruitment/

re and Jeff Traylor. Outside of one, no recent Texas high school coach has been as close to a national title as North Texas’ newest associate head coach. Drew Svoboda spent the past two seasons next to Nick Saban as Alabama’s senior special assistant to the head coach, the same position held by Gary Patterson now at Texas. There, he tailored game plans and stats analysis and inquired about high school talent, utilizing his Houston-area connections. Prior to Alabama, he was at Rice as running backs coach for three seasons. But he cut his teeth as a head coach at Klein Collins for a decade where he posted nearly an 80 percent win percentage. Now taking on a bigger role, pending North Texas' success under Eric Morris, Svoboda could be a new name in the long list of high school coaches appearing on administrators' radars. I thought this was just the Talons renamed? Was I wrong? -
I’m not sure how to think about this and I’m not pleased about just giving away admission when it hasn’t been earned through testing or whatnot. Sorry to be Debbie Downer but that’s just how I feel about it.
