  1. I seems like we did do this back at Fouts. Not sure why not at Apogee. I always enjoyed it.
  2. Not the best for everyone. Makes no difference to me distance wise but I amwill miss the bars and whatnot they had at the Jerry practice fields.
  3. Yeah but then again, who gives a gosh darn about New Mexico, Utah State, Fresno State and Wyoming?💤🥱💤
  4. Ingleside senior athlete Jaydon Smith, whose recruiting profile surged late during the spring semester, announced his commitment to play football at North Texas on Monday afternoon on his Twitter account. Smith, who was one of the Corpus Christi area's best multi-sport athletes, shined as a returner, cornerback and receiver as a junior for the Mustangs which went 8-3 in 2022. The Mustang held offers from nine schools in early May including Washington, Boston College, Air Force, Nebraska and the Mean Green. read more: https://www.caller.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2023/06/20/inglesides-smith-announces-commitment-to-play-football-at-north-texas/70336473007/
  5. Yep, they will all realize that having the 9 game conf schedule is not good for your career lol
  6. This one is a real head scratcher. He’s good enough for Carthel at SFA but not for us? Just seems like he may have been one we should have kept.
  7. Need to be prepared for this as it looks like most of their top picks are from AAC.
  8. Well said. Love his size and you are correct he has a lot better chance to help us than a high school kid.
  9. This has become much better than Dave Campbells in my opinion.

  10. Agree 💯 The issue that I am seeing is other schools seem to let us do the work of identifying talent and developing it only to have a lazy school swoop in and offer more NIL money and snatch said player away. The good news is I do think the staff is learning. To my understanding, I think once a player “portals” himself, and transfers to a new school he cannot do it again without sitting out a year. I think we should try to utilize this as well as continuing to land quality juco players who have been ignored in the new NIL environment. Thoughts?
  11. Glad they jumped in on the gear for us I truly appreciate that. That said, it sure doesn't look like they spent a bunch of time on the designs. I didn't see one thing on that page that excited me enough to buy. Bummer. Maybe they will come out with something more attractive later on?
  12. ? I could have sworn he was all over it the last time I looked at it. https://www.lightthetowercollective.com/collective-board/
  13. PG - Rubin SG - Jason Edwards 3 - CJ 4- Aaron 5 - Sissoku
  14. I hear you Deep. It’s going to end up killing the game we love.
  15. Yes but our former Associate Head Coach is now there and he will know a lot about us. This is very concerning to me. It gives them a huge tactical advantage .
  16. This may be the best squad we have had on paper in awhile.
  17. Great recruiting win!
  18. It said he had thousands of followers for what that is worth.
  19. But wasn’t UofH called Cougar High not that long ago? And did we not beat Cincy in a bowl game? And didn’t both build solid basketball programs first? Just saying todays trash may be tomorrow’s treasure.
  20. According to a recent study from Forbes magazine, total higher education enrollment has declined by almost 7.5 percent since 2019. With universities across the U.S. still struggling to bring enrollment back up to pre-pandemic levels, the University of North Texas turned to data analytics in order to buck those trends and form new strategies focused on increasing student enrollment and retention rates to all-time highs. Using a system called UNT Insights — a data platform built with software from the data analytics company SAS that’s designed to bring together data from across institutions to gain key insights through metrics related to admissions, budgeting, financial aid, grades, enrollment, retention and graduation rates — the university recently reported a 16 percent increase in enrollment since 2018, as well as a 5.5 percent jump in enrollment in 2022 alone, according to a recent news release. According to Jason Simon, associate vice president for data analytics and institutional research at University of North Texas, the university first recognized the need to harness data analytics for decision-making in 2015. He said that once it had built a culture of trust in data governance and analytics, the university was able to use the SAS tool effectively for institutional planning to boost enrollment and student retention. read more: https://www.govtech.com/education/higher-ed/data-helps-university-of-north-texas-increase-enrollment

  21. Agree hope for the best but not a lot of offers on this one. It looks like when you have as many late portal exits this is sort of what can happen.
  22. 1 SMU 2 Tulane 3 UTSA 4 East Carolina 5 UAB 6 Florida Atlantic 7 Memphis 8 South Florida 9 Tulsa 10 Temple 11 Navy 12 UNT 13 Rice 13 Charlotte I hope I am wrong and that we do better but looking at the fact we lost so much in the portal not just this year but last year with the twins and also the fact we lose our long time starter at QB (Aune) I just don't see an easy road for us and will chalk this up to being a rebuilding year. Had we held onto more of our players I think we could have been middle of the pack. Interested to see everyone else's list and thoughts.
