Rick you have been such an inspiration to us all. So happy you are able to retire after all your hard work on behalf of UNT. I hope you get to travel, fish and do all the fun things you most certainly deserve now that you are officially retired.

There are a lot of people who have said for years you can't win anything at UNT and you can't build anything of significance. What Coach Burton and the ladies proved is that you absolutely can with the right coach. Just like McCasland did with an NCAA tourney win and NIT championship. It can be done here! You just have to have the right coach. For years we were told that Jalie was the best we could ever wish for and that without her we would be in big trouble. Same with Coach Pete and Tina Slinker before him. There are some on the football board that say we should give coach more time and I don't disagree but you can't just allow coaches 3-4-5 years to prove themselves anymore.

Great win to see in person. Tulane is a tough win for anyone on the road. I feel like the men are slowly putting their mojo back together for the tourney. the women are indeed the pride of UNT though with their dominance a great time to be a basketball fan at UNT indeed!
