I mean can you blame him? And not every coach to get fired has nice things to say when they leave. Reasons for not saying anything: 1. Hes pissed. Was told he needed to win 8 games but im sure making the Conference Championship game made him think he was pretty safe as that wasn’t necessarily expected. And so he was fired which would make many angry 2. He’s embarrassed. Wouldn’t you be? People are tearing you up left and right which sucks but also everyone knows he was fired. 3. Because Littrell isnt a man of many words and never has been. Littrell is not someone who ever really said much and i think thats just how he is.

Listen to podcasts or read stories from different outlets, like DCTF for example, and you’ll hear his name brought up as a top option

He’s probably next to take over at Texas A&M or Texas. I see those being the two jobs he’d really be after and cant see him wanting to leave Texas

He went to UNT(atleast thats what his wiki states) and the more i hear it sounds like he will probably be the new HC. Im not a huge fan of it but i would bet a lot on it right now with how much the media keeps talking about how its sounds like a dream job for him

I can tell you many of the people i know who played there aren’t gonna be happy about the hire. But I mean its kind of unique and outside the box. Plus the guy is from Texas and should know where to recruit but will need to put together a good staff to help him early on atleast

I strongly believe Riley is either headed to UNT as HC or A&M as OC

Its gotta happen before Monday of next week. The potential to lose players, recruits and miss out on the Transfer Portal could really hurt UNT. So a decision on a HC must be made ASAP

Many in the press and recruiting services also tamper as they want certain schools to succeed. So why talk about it?

I mean apparently every coach makes too much sense lol. But I do like Keeler a lot and I’d hooe UNT would atleast consider him as hes proven he can win everywhere. Just wonder if he even wants to move up to FBS as hes yet and I’d think hes been offered jobs before but who knows.

Lol thats an interesting first post. Id like UNT to atleast reach out to Patterson just to see if there is absolutely any chance hes interested. Then, when he inevitably says no, you immediately move to your next target

We do? I don’t. Id take him over any other option thats been previously named in a heartbeat. He’s significantly better than every other candidate listed and has had sustained success. If hes a dud then yeah it sucks big time but his upside is much higher than everyone else

You must be younger than me lol. I was a kid when he was hired and I remember it being talked about nationally as a game changing hire and how UNT was the first school to pull a HC straight from HS and were starting a trend. It was praised by virtually everyone but ended up being probably the worst decision imaginable by UNT

If UNT is smart then they already have their man and will formally announce it in the next couple days. Otherwise they better hurry the hell up

Need to get a Head Coach ASAP with the portal open and to get the ball rolling for next season and then get an AD. I would normally say AD first but UNT is in a bad spot with a HC
