I think they’re the same helmet as before. The Twitter post implies as much. Love this combo! GMG!

My HS senior visited Oklahoma State yesterday. His HS freshman brother accompanied him on the trip. Want to know what the freshman wore ALL OVER STILLWATER? My wife confirmed a copious amount of side eye. 😂😂😂 GMG!

How many wins triggers Seth extension?
Glory to the Green replied to Dannymacfan's topic in Mean Green Football
If we can pressure Harris, we have a chance. They have 3 good receivers. Pressure would be our equalizer. I think we should be able to put up some points on them. Hoping for a good game either way. GMG! -
I don’t remember him playing too much. Crowded receiver room?

Good for him!

NT FB 2022 = A Year in Transition
Glory to the Green replied to Dannymacfan's topic in Mean Green Football
That guy’s talking the talk AND walking the walk. Reminds me a bit like Gregg Poppovich speak. Thanks for sharing. If SL’s run is over, I wonder if we go with a coach like this (success at lower level). Obviously its a case by case basis, but I’d be okay with it. -
NT FB 2022 = A Year in Transition

This is where I land. The coaching needs to get better if we’re going to get better and win more games. The team culture seems great, but the winning culture isn’t quite there. SL has had 7years, but how many of his coaches have had those same 7 years here? He’s had a few bad hires that have greatly hurt his tenure here..that’s on SL. Is this the group of coaches to help the Mean Green take the next step? The team is playing better than early in the year. Is that coaching, player development, play calling, etc? A true QB coach has to be addressed for next season. -

I attribute this to coach speak and to enticing recruits. What else could they say? -

I don’t know that we’re a good team, yet. I believe the talent is there, but it’s not being maximized. FAU was our most complete game but we still were far from perfect. The Memphis game could have been a good win, but two pick 6’s messed that up. I think we’re trending up. Talent is good, but the team needs to improve to he considered good. Does that answer your question? -
I get what you’re saying, but UTSA’s weaknesses were exposed. Our strengths were emphasized. It wasn’t a fluke, playing in the elements is part of the game. We had to play on the same field. Had we played in the Alamodome, we probably would have not had the same result. That’s just part of the game.

Enjoy the moment and this team, man. We have a very talented team. We’re potentially watching them turn the corner. GMG!- 19 replies

You’re right. We don’t know who’s planning on leaving, but we’ll surely have a few hoping for greener pastures. I didn’t realize Trieb was JUCO. I’m good with it. I honestly don’t care where our players come from as long as they come in and compete. I guess I thought our OLine was more seasoned. Manase is the only senior? I’m good with it. This group should be great for a couple of years! Clements was known at Baylor for finding centers. Hoping he can keep that going here in Denton.

Not that I wish it, but some of our players may opt for the portal. That might open up a few spots, too. The FCS/Div 2 route has been pretty decent. Horton, Trieb, Smart, Nick N (pending health), Earle, and Mazin. I see them staying this route. I think our OLine is going to need some attention for the next season.

All Three Phases - FAU Cinematic Recap
Glory to the Green replied to Coach Andy Mac's topic in Mean Green Football
Ha! It was a dump, but it had some great memories! Storming the field after beating 5-0 MTSU in 2001, one bathroom per side, urine troughs, food trucks before they were fashionable, funnel cakes!!!…what am I missing? -
Looks like a big day for alum Jeff Wilson
Glory to the Green replied to UNT 90 Grad's topic in Mean Green Football
Ha! It’s more historically (Quincy, Bledsoe, Vinny, Cunningham, etc). It’s like my dad told me a few years ago…”When I die, I want the Cowboys to lower me into my gravesite, so they can let me down just one last time.” 😂😂 -

I’d say so. Lance was a 3rd down back/return guy. Had he stayed healthy, he would have had a nice career. The Cowboys stink, too. (Coming from a Lifelong Cowboy fan). -

You make some good points. I like to think that our future opponents have similar pauses when viewing us on the schedule. “Yeah, UNT has had some ugly losses, but they seem to have turned a corner. If their QB hits his targets like he did vs FAU (minus the pick6), they’re going to be trouble. Any one of their RB’s could put up 100. Their defense is improving. Don’t kick it to Horton, that guy is elusive and is just begging for a chance.” Man, this green stuff I’m drinking is tasty. Cheers!
