I hope so, too. We can obviously score, now let’s clamp down! -
Should Caponi get another year?

Should Caponi get another year?
Glory to the Green replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
For the coaches that have DFW as their territory, sure. We have coaches that also recruit other areas. This would also give Kegans a head start on next years workouts. Rather than dwell on the obvious negatives, I’m looking for some silver linings. -
Should Caponi get another year?
Glory to the Green replied to Jonnyeagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Unless there’s just a home run hire, I don’t see him getting fired. I’ve seen some JUCO defensive offers gone out. I’m willing to give him another year. Also, let’s see how these last two games go. Missing a bowl game would allow the coaches to get on the recruiting trail. It may be a blessing in disguise. -
UNT vs. Tulsa (11/18/23) Score Predictions
Glory to the Green replied to Big Z's topic in Mean Green Football
UNT- 42 Tulsa-24 -
I think his current struggles may be attributed to the increased effort on the defensive end. I just think he needs to adjust to playing hard on both ends of the court. With no reservations, I believe he will become a weapon for us. It’s still early.

Based on the limited action last season, I assumed he would take the next step to get more playing time this year. He seemed to have good ball control. Im glad Stone contributed last night. Hitting some shots will force others to defend him and not play off of him. To me, it feels as though he’s best suited to give Scott a break. It would depend on the matchup, though.

Barbershop is back tonight live!!!! Link in post.

I normally can’t listen when it’s live, but I enjoy the podcast after the fact. Appreciate the work you guys put in. Let’s finish the season 2-0! -
Once Buggs finds his shot, this team will be explosive!

Good win. I thought Noland had a very good game. Scott is a beast! Jones shut down their best player. I want to see a bit more of Edward’s, but Hodge seems to be limiting his minutes. Looking forward to watching this team continue to develop.

Praying Maclin does not enter the portal.
Glory to the Green replied to WQuinn27's topic in Mean Green Football
We have to find ways to get him the ball. He’s getting more attention from the opposing defenses and it feels like we haven’t adjusted. It could be we’ve just been playing better defenses, too. I’m hoping he sticks around. He seems like a great kid..and he’s a really good player. -

Anderson, Smith, Nelson, Sides, Weslowski…Starling? Anderson plays well, but had a moment yesterday. He got stiff armed, but still made the tackle. When he had an opportunity to make the tackle on the next play, he didn’t and the RB scored. I don’t think he played anymore after the play.

DRC/Vito - Five thoughts on UNT's loss to SMU
Glory to the Green replied to Pavlovs Eagle's topic in Mean Green Football
I think the article is fine. We made too many mistakes early in the 2nd half and SMU made us pay. With the deficit, they focused on pass rush and coverage. Our OLine, especially our back ups, struggled against their dline. For me…This one stings worse than the other losses this season. This one felt like a Littrell loss. I hope the team rallies to finish the season at 5-7. I guess we’ll see versus Tulsa. -
Season Ticket Question
Glory to the Green replied to Glory to the Green's topic in Mean Green Football
We’re near the south end zone. This view is so different from our current one. I like how we’re near the goal line action, but the far side of the field feels incredibly far away. Thanks for the input. -
Season Ticket Question
Glory to the Green replied to Glory to the Green's topic in Mean Green Football
I appreciate the feedback. My youngest (7), loves the Scrappy interactions, too. Yeah, I’ll need to speak to the office to get a better idea of what is actually available for next season. Thanks, again. -
Season Ticket Question
Glory to the Green replied to Glory to the Green's topic in Mean Green Football
Thanks. We’ve been near the action the last few years, but it’s not necessary. -
We’ve been sitting in 102, but want to move closer to midfield. Where do you guys sit? Do you recommend your section? We stand, cheer on defensive 3rd downs, signal our Mean Green first downs, stand/sing during the fight song and Alma mater. We’re thinking maybe Sections 104-106 or Sections 205-208? Between me and my buddies, we’d need 8-12 tickets. Thoughts?

Morris Weekly Press Conference (11/07/2023)
Glory to the Green replied to Big Z's topic in Mean Green Football
Is it really as simple as “we just need to tackle better?” I mean, I agree. Is that it, though? Let’s make it happen! Would love to give SMU an L on Friday. -
Checking in for the SMU game
Glory to the Green replied to MeanGreen_MBA's topic in Mean Green Football
We have a HS playoff game, but we’re going to try and leave at the half. We’ll see. I’m not a huge fan of the Friday night games.
