This has me 2nd guessing how I initially felt. I’m not sure I’m 100% on board, but it’s gotten me thinking.

I think I’m with you on this one. If Tulane was in the Playoff, I’d root for them. If UTSA somehow made the playoff, I’d be okay with them losing. I think it’s more because of the arrogance of the fans…I don’t have an issue with the coaches/players.

I think the other team was that bad. SFA may be a decent team, but I wouldn’t base it off their game with NAU. The second half consisted of two 5 minute running quarters. I didn’t know that was a thing in college football.

Rod Brown mentioned in a postgame interview that the goal was to stop the run. Cal ran for 400 yards last season, while USA ran for 150 on Saturday. I think our lack of pressure on the QB was the largest concern. When he was pressured, our secondary looked better. When he had time, we struggled. I don’t share the same concerns regarding our running game. I wish we had run the ball better, but I think we’ll get better next week. I don’t view Ragsdale as a FB at all. He’s not shown to be the homerun threat that Adeyi was, but he’s a very good RB.

I respect your view, but they’ve beat us in MBB, WBB, and women’s soccer. It’s definitely back and forth….and that’s what makes it fun. Especially when we ruined their undefeated season. 😂😂😂

Not sure. The Mean Green website only shows SFA on Plus , but it doesn’t show TV for the whole season. Tech is on FS1. UTSA is on Espn2. I wonder if the American waits to see which games should be on the Plus, and which should be on the networks?

Especially Mercer on the o-line and WR Young! I was very impressed with their day one contributions. The future is bright! Congrats to the players, the coaches for the development, and to the recruiting department for identifying and bringing them in. It’s a good day for the good guys in Green.

And Roach on the DL. UNT-West (ACU) had a good showing last night. I wondered about Cleveland, too. I’m thinking he might have encouraged to explore?

The o line played very well! Chandler had time to go through his progressions. I’ll need to rewatch to see about our run game. Overall, great game one!

Wore my Friday green and one of my coworkers boo’d me. She’s a UTSA grad. I then gave her a 45 second recap of why I can’t stand UTSA. The mutual sports hate is real! 😂😂😂

Completely agree! 5 point road underdogs that end up winning by 14! If we can stay healthy, going bowling would be the floor. GMG!

I’m with you. I feel good about our team. I think we have decent size. If we stay healthy, we’ll have a good year.

From all reports, Jayden Hill is going to have a great season! Maizen Richard’s was also a D2 transfer and he was pretty good for us. Spiruells should be good, too. He was forced to start due to Isheem Young, our P4 transfer, getting injured. I don’t think this is the same old story again.

Good stuff, guys! If our defense is ranked in the 80’s, I think we’ll have a great season! I love Aldo’s 8-4 optimism. Speaking it into existence. GMG!

Are you taking about UNT? I’m really hoping Morris can stay healthy all season. I don’t know that we’re strong enough as a team to lose our QB1 for a lengthy amount of time.

I don’t mind it. I prefer our green and white, but it’s fine. I haven’t looked at our tv schedule, but I don’t want these on national tv…perhaps the Friday game vs UTSA? Green winged helmets, white jersey, green pants is a great away uniform option.
