Being a stepping stone basketball program that's playing meaningful basketball into March every year is 10x better than being a dead end like the football program not having a HC hired away in almost 50 years.

What hurts is we have the superior player personnel here. Definitely should've won this. UCI was less athletic than these other teams we've beaten recently.

UAB can score with anyone, but they are not good defensively. Control the pace and minimize turnovers, and for God's sake--no scoring droughts! Looks like we open as a 4.5-point favorite.
