  1. If we wanted to have you sign/autograph a mini-helmet where can we mail it?
  2. Not sure if this was posted already but it appears that Adrian Awasom has signed a 2-year futures contract with Minnesota Vikings. LINK: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/553789/adrian-awasom

  3. Very funny indeed!
  4. Nice, I like the inclusion of the "granny apple green" stripe. How about one more of these "mock-ups" with the eagle head from the SOW logo? This one (but green):

  6. Um, it's Alfred E. Newman
  7. We are? I'll believe it when I see it.
  8. My thoughts exactly.
  9. Welp, it was a good game until the last 1:30 minutes of play. Y'all had to jinx it with this thread dinja.
  10. Flying Worm: longest portion of this logo resembles a flying worm, hence the name/nick name = "The Flying Worm" Son of Worm (aka. SOW): wings of this logo resemble or are similar to those in the "Flying Worm" logo, hence the relation of the two from father (elder) to son (younger/newest logo) HTH & GMG!
  11. Yeah, I know... that discussion occurs at least once a month during the off-season (why not start it earlier).
  12. Thoughts on the "talon" image from the branding effort a few years back (below) on a white or kelly green (current green) helmet? No lettering, just the claw.
  13. <--- An interlocked NT would be AWESOME! And make these darn unis available to the PUBLIC, ALUMNI and FANS as well! No one-offs or "wanna be"s here we want the real deal!
  14. I wonder when he'll start posting on the forum. This certainly is a change in attitude that this team, fans needed!
  15. Regardless if it is Chico or not who is finally selected/hired, I would like to see Chico stay in the fray of this team, as either HC (if chosen) or OC (if not chosen).
  16. Watching the game on internet (Channelsurfing.net) they just put Cobbs in and got his first catch of the season. Good to hear his name and see his contribution to the team. Just scored a TD for MIA... @ 6:59 3rd == MIA up 20-10 over TEN
  17. "UNT drew 14,289 last night dropping their season average to 16,870 (for the season, UNT has drawn 84,354 fans to the piece of crap with a track that is Fouts Field)."
  18. Nice! Curious though... Can you make links to other pages clickable? This way if the initial poster provides a link to an article (which is usually the case) we can click the link in the preview pop-up as opposed to actually going into the thread to click the link? That would be what this feature is missing.
  19. We now playing 6-degrees of Hayden Fry (a la Kevin Bacon)?
  20. Stop beating a dead horse... and let's move on.
  21. Wouldn't you have to account for some sort of inflation factor [LINK], especially when considering the cost of a stamp in '75 was $0.10, as opposed to '10 as it is now $0.46 -- [LINK]. I don't think you can arbitrarily compare dollars to dollars. Good luck with the list BTW.
  22. Wikipedia... it's an amazing thing... Google helps too. From Wikipedia (if you do not want to click or type): On January 8, 2010, Leavitt was fired after an investigation by USF officials found that he had struck a player in the locker room during halftime of a game against Louisville the previous November 21. Leavitt claimed he was merely trying to console the player and never struck him. School officials found that Leavitt was not truthful about what happened, and also found that he had interfered with the investigation.[7] ESPN's Ivan Maisel reported that Leavitt's interference, which included telling several players and coaches to change their stories, was the biggest factor in the decision to fire him.[8] The Tampa Tribune reported that school president Judy Genshaft and athletic director Doug Woolard felt they had no choice but to fire Leavitt after he refused to admit he had done anything wrong.[9] Running backs coach Carl Franks was named interim coach of the Bulls[10] until January 14, 2010, when Skip Holtz was hired as head coach.[11]
  23. ARTICLE LINK Name Dropping: Former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach Former Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator Jay Norvell Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson Former Southern Mississippi coach Jeff Bower Ole Miss assistant head coach Tyrone Nix Former Louisville and Tulsa coach Steve Kragthorpe Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen Auburn assistant head coach Trooper Taylor Texas running backs coach Major Applewhite Oklahoma running backs coach Cale Gundy Dallas Cowboys linebackers coach Reggie Herring TCU co-offensive coordinators Jarrett Anderson and Justin Fuente Florida State defensive coordinator Mark Stoops I think someone should start a poll with these names on it for voting... hint, hint! Would certainly make it easier to get a pulse of who we all would like to have as our next coach.
