It's still early, but the running back position seems to be a pillar of strength and depth. Ronnie Brown ran hard, Jesse Chatman was electric and Patrick Cobbs was consistently efficient. Rookie Lorenzo Booker, who has already drawn praise for his ankle-breaking elusiveness in practice, didn't get any carries. Cameron probably already knows what Booker is capable of and was therefore interested in finding out the effectiveness of his other reserves.
