I almost posted this photo earlier, in light of what happened to FFR thinking this was TDs reaction after he caught wind of what might have happened. Of courtse, I do NOT know if this has anything to do with what happened ot FFR, or what the cause of the photo is. It's just pure speculation, and wishful thinking on my part. One has to wonder though, why the DMN/DRC posted this photo in the "album" of photos available for reader viewing. You'd thik conflicts between coaches and such especially those after hte game during a win would be kept within the team dynamics and ont so much broadcasted for all to see. I would have expected more fron the papers that have a photo such as this (though negative or positive as it may seem) been kept from teh pblic eye. Just my $.02 though.

How about on 3rd downs when the cheerleaders are "two-tall" blocking the view of the field for those in the seats with a lower vantage point of the action on the field. I had to watch the play from the scoreboard to see what was going on.

Who Predicted Less Than 10,000 In Attendance?

Any one catch the nice smoke circle that appeared upon one of hte firings after a TD. That smoke ring made it all the was y to the 20yrd line on the south end. I had my camera in hand, but by the time I had it ready to get a shot off, it had dissapeared into oblivion. Rick -- great job in getting the cannon back to it's top form. I nearly fell out of my seat when it was first fired. GREAT JOB!

A few of those kick returns Mosley was in as the return man and he continued to say Roman had the ball, the camera crew captured Mosleys name when he stood up but he didn't bother to make the coorection. Is anyone else tired of the phrases ending in "time" ... "kick time", "punt time", "decision time", "blitz time"... jeez be more professtional and come up with something else to say cause that gets annoying after about 10 minutes. Oh, one last thing, if the teams use the hurry up offense, consider that when looping through te same replay multiple times. In other words don't do it. The viewers miss the next play, and you all look like idiots in broadcasting. Whew... off my soap box. GMG!

If I remember correctly, he did visit the campus and interviewed for the HC position. Vito wrote the following article about it: http://www.dentonrc.com/sharedcontent/dws/...6.59a151e4.html

I know a good portion of you look forward to photos of all UNT sporting events, and many ask where to go for viewing photos of games and such. Well, I want it known that you can now find a LARGE amount of photos on the newly redesigned RJY.com. Over the past few months Rick Yeatts and I have put our heads together to come up with a new design for his website. As our first joined effort, we believe this will be a long lasting endevor and hope to provide only the best in getting these photos out to the you all, and the rest of the interested public. I'm hopeful you all will enjoy the new look and format and you will visit with high frequency to get your fill of action shots. For the largest database of UNT athletic photographs, visit the newly resdesigned RJY.com! Thanks. Also, if you have any comments about the site they would be apprecaited, both by Rick and myself.

#6 South Florida Bulls, Revisited....
jperg2 replied to FirefightnRick's topic in Mean Green Football
Rick, I've watched this program grow to what it is today (my brother works there, and went to school there). The campus, from what I gathered from my few visits, is rather nice. I have not seen their new athletic center and other facilities in a few years, but the athletic department has undergone a transformation since it's inception. It's like night and day... from what it was 10+ years ago. Their football team in particular has gotten continually better over the years. Hence their invite to join the Big East this year after only being a C-USA for a few years, after being a Div I-AA prior to that. Thier advancement within the conferences at this pace just serves as an example of how a program can go from nothing to something in a few years with the right attitude and direction from those with their hands on the wheel. I totally agree with your post... I think we need see what it is they did and how they did it in the time span and follow suit. GMG! -
Shoot, I'm expecting more folks for the NAVY game in NOV. I would expect the team to win a few prior to that date so possibly our attendance could improve, plus the NAVY folks would also be in attendance. Green punch... maybe, but her's hoping, right.
-
Also we've only played 1 home game to date... against FAU. Others might have already played more than one home gaem to date.
-
I noticed that too... jeez... what an idiot!
-
Thanks... What I'm looking for is not the definition of a redshirt... but those who may still be eligible to redshirt (hence fulfilling the definintion items noted in your post).
-
Ok all... of the list of our 2007 recruits/signing class... Do we know which qualify for a redshirt this year? If so can you share this info with me so that I might be able to keep track of this on my site? Those in GREEN I have down as having played this season (and are not able to redshirt). 2007 Recruiting/Signing Class Name____________Pos._Ht.___Wt._Hometown HS Marquese Davis__LB___6'1"__230_Atlanta Jesse DeSoto____DB___6'2"__275_S.A. Prior to the game having started I had asked if I could take a photo of him (his girl was not there then). He said that was cool and even posed. I had technical difficulties with the camera then. But later in the 4th quarter when the blocked punt occured and we were all thinking we'd get the ball back, JQ was up on the seat yelling and cheering with the rest of us. I snapped acandid of him raising his hand with the claw (that didn't take so well). But he saw the flash and smiled again. Since I had difficulties earlier, I asked if I could take another he said yes, and grabbed his girl to be included in the photo. He's a good guy and enjoyed the game as much as the rest of us. I appreciated his sincerity. I'm glad others had apprecaited the photo.

Here's a few photos from the game. Enjoy!

Yes, I completely agree. Made the visitor entrance a bit more NT-like. Saw it took a photo... will post it later.

What's the over/under on how long FIU stays there? It seems they've grown roots and set up a recliner.
-
Yeah, I think you guys standing cause us and everyone else behind us to stand with you.
-
Yep, we were two (maybe 3) rows behind you all. See you at the FAU game in 2 weeks. Wow, we are next to eachother. Just checked the photo from KingDL1 -- I think that thing was a GREAT idea!
