  1. Saw this happen last year as well, and yet folks still try to bring in umbrellas. It actually says that umbrellas are not permitted on the back of the tickets. Oh well, if anyone walks by a trash can by the SE gate they can snag a few, I saw folks chunk theirs to get in.
  2. Attendance: 16,674 LINK
  3. Thought Troy would put up more of a showing, but 35-3 at the half is nutz. A 28-13 score would have been my guess at this point.
  4. I wouldn't mind it either. My brother works there, and went to school there. I'd like to see them play each other as well.
  5. Nice Find! Conference: 77 - North Texas 78 - Florida Atlantic 85 - Troy 93 - Middle Tennessee 94 - Louisiana Lafayette 96 - Arkansas State 102 - Florida International 105 - Louisiana Monroe 119 - Western Kentucky Others: 1 - Alabama <-- 9/19 opponent 8 - Texas 10 - Texas Tech 11 - Oklahoma 12 - Texas Christian 55 - Baylor 61 - Louisiana Tech 64 - Ball State <-- 9/3 opponent 82 - Texas A&M 106 - Ohio <-- 9/12 opponent 112 - Army <-- 11/21 opponent 118 - Southern Methodist
  6. I'm assuming you are referring to a poll of some sort. What poll you looking at? I'd like to see the source please. CBS Sports poll shows us at 119 still... Sagarin has us at 126... JHowell power rankings have us at 112...
  7. Thanks the "FStream" app work like a charm. Thanks for the suggestion.
  8. I want to hear the game, but will not be able to as I have a commitment elsewhere. Has anyone experimented with this yet?
  9. Damn Smitty, you the man! Excellent wallpapers.
  10. Some of us need proof. I'd love to see it burn!
  11. Yeah, some one needs to tell them their 5 is backwards.
  12. Guess you missed the fact two have "holes" the "wiener" is entering. Hey, but if you're into that by all means I won't judge you; to each his own.
  13. These might be just a bit better.
  14. This is not right... it's almost like saying, "Yeah, you can vote for the President of the United States, but if you do not like results of the vote, then you have X number of days to request a re-vote." I personally do not think a re-vote should be allowed. The students had their chance to vote once already, and 14% of the students did so.... kudos to those that did. Having another re-vote will only serve the purpose of having the powers that be at the University say, "Yes, we agree with you, we're not 100% behind the result either, let's try again." A big PR mess if you ask me. Just my $.02.
  15. Post of the day! Got my drink all over the monitor... damn you Smitty!
  16. Fouts has a press box?
  17. Fred Gwynne (Judge Chamberlain Haller) & Joe Pesci (Vincent 'Vinny' Gambini) --> My Cousin Vinny! Congrats on the two [wins], Utes!
  18. SOURCE: http://cfn.scout.com/2/822871.html CFN Prediction: Troy 27 … Southern Miss 17
  19. This was an interesting mention in the article: I wonder why MTSU coach gets the nod and not Troy's from the Sun Belt.
  20. So, I guess this means in 2010 when Kansas State comes down... we'll be playing in Fouts! Thanks for the continuous updates on the stadium progress Flyer! It is MUCH apprecaited.
  21. Source: Ranking & Predicting All The Bowl Games Great matchups. Don't miss ... you'll be a better person for watching. These aren't guaranteed to be classics, but they should be worth your four hours. 9. R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Dec. 21 / 8 p.m. ET New Orleans, La. ESPN Troy vs. Southern Miss Normally one of the worst bowl matchups of the season, the New Orleans Bowl really might be one of the most entertaining early bowl games. Really. This is the best New Orleans Bowl matchup by a huge margin with Southern Miss coming in red hot, and probably deserving of a far better game, and Troy coming in as one of the Sun Belt's best teams ever. Southern Miss is 2-0 in this game, having won two in a row in 2004 and 2005, while Troy blew away Rice in 2006. USM overcame a lousy start to win the final four games of the season in head coach Larry Fedora's first season, highlighted by a 21-3 win over eventual Conference USA champion, East Carolina. The Golden Eagles are 2-0 against the Sun Belt this season, having beaten UL Lafayette and Arkansas State in the first three games. Troy pushed LSU to the wall before dying late, but the Trojans are still on a nice run having beaten UL Lafayette and Arkansas State by a combined score of 83 to 12 to close out the year. Stars of the show: 1) Southern Miss RB Damion Fletcher, 2) Troy LBs Bear Woods & Boris Lee, 3) Southern Miss QB Austin Davis The knee jerk, off-the-cuff, initial prediction: Troy 27 ... Southern Miss 17 Bowl Games. Nothing more, nothing less. You're a college football fan. You'll watch, you'll eat, you'll move on. 23. Motor City Bowl Dec. 26 / 7:30 p.m. ET Detroit, Mich. ESPN Florida Atlantic vs. Central Michigan Last year Central Michigan almost pulled off a comeback for the ages in the Motor City Bowl loss to Purdue. This year, QB Dan LeFevour and Florida Atlantic's Rusty Smith should put on a show in a key battle for the respect of the MAC and the Sun Belt. Fine, so there isn't exactly a national debate over which of the two conferences is better, but this really would be a great win for the Owls. Head coach Howard Schnellenberger doesn't lose bowl games, but this isn't the same FAU team as last year. Stars of the show: 1) Dan LeFevour, QB Central Michigan, 2) Rusty Smith, QB Florida Atlantic, 3) The knee jerk, off-the-cuff, initial prediction: Central Michigan 45 ... Florida Atlantic 38
  22. Needing a yard or less and not having a play where the QB is under center, but rather already defeating ourselves be lining up in the shotgun.
