This one has revenue relegation built on, not a stretch to include a soft team relegation to keep the path open, but difficult
-
What ghetto dish network type TV do you have? It's standard on my YoutubeTV. Most packages have it
-
Want publicity? There's a possible path, if TCU can drag itself into bowl eligibility, for a TCU v UNT bowl and Chandler Morris nuking TCU into oblivion.
-
Actually, yes. ACC has been wonderful so far. I love the coverage on the ACC network. Enjoy your ESPN+ games.

This is very fixable with games that matter. SMU has had over 2/3 of their entire student body at the last two games. If UNT did that you'd sell out the stadium. Do you think SMU just has sports crazy students? Generating that excitement will be harder without marquee opponents but with winning and the right promotion you can get much, much farther down the line and mostly fill the TCU stadium

I'd take UNT over Houston with their pathetic offense right now.
-
I've never watched a game where the other team is visibly physically superior in almost ever position but they just kept getting beat. Bad, bad times in Tallahassee. Even their visiting fans were defeated before the game even started. TCU fans were vastly more energized even though the FSU fans tons of WT trashy potential. They were cordial, even.

This is a bananas thread. The DMN coverage isn't based on number of miles from Dallas city limits. SMU is magically getting much better coverage because we're suddenly in a much better conference. We crushed Florida State last night. You crushed Tulsa. When we crushed Tulsa, we got weak coverage. If you somehow win the realignment lottery and join the SEC, if you crush Louisiana State, you'd have better coverage than us.

Another of many indications that NIL is broken

I saw Texas State is talking to everyone including AAC. If AAC is adding and MWC needs 2 and PAC needs 1, we're going to see complete chaos with CUSA and sunbelt too. I even saw MWC is talking to MAC teams. Insanity. -

The system should self-police reasonably well. If you reneg on deals, you are toast either direction. Who wants a player that will sit and demand more? Or a team that can't pay their debts? -
TCU taking a shot at SMU/ACC's TV Coverage

Bizarre as CW is national and B12 is heavily shown on ESPN+ -

It was probably 20-25% BYU. They had a strong showing.
-
They are both deeply flawed but the way this was all handled is very very strange, and the offense dysfunction is beyond just getting beat. BYU did not seem to be, overall, more talented, at least not significantly. Very strange.

Why would Cal and Stanford take something like an 80% revenue cut to go to a non-P4 league. That's bananas.

UNT possibly headed west? https://x.com/RossDellenger/status/1834204561562624058?t=mRSH8CKhXRTOUsfwCNQkww&s=19

I didn't see anything that could be labeled an offense out of SMU. It was, however, offensive. You should look to pick up Preston Stone in the portal for next year
-
Without knowing anything about these specific guys, teams do pay for depth/rotators/backups. Obviously not as much as starters.
-
You're assuming they transferred for play rather than pay. Cashing in to ride the bench and get your degree is not a bad gig
-
Go steal that guy at ACU. Well over 500 yards against Texas Tech. Also, Houston lost to UNLV. Ouch.

Go read the titles of that guy's other unhinged videos. Pure clickbait, zero info. -
People say this kind of thing but put zero thought into how or why these decisions would be made. Why, in a millions years, would SEC ever add Texas Tech? Assuming they needed to add anyone, Tech is not historically great at football. They don't have a bigger following than any average mid tier state school. They have zero media market. They have zero local recruiting. It doesn't add any new territory for any of the above. They wouldn't generate anywhere near the revenue they take out, so they are worse than nothing. What reason are you concluding makes them the choice? Tech is one of the least likely schools to add to SEC from B12.
