  1. The 4-man front resulted in back-to-back 3 and outs and about 4 yards of LT offense in the 1st quarter, but Caponi thought it would be smart not only to move back to the 3-man front, but basically stick with it for most of the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th quarters. That dude is too stupid to remain as our DC.
  2. You have been following this team for about 2 seconds. You don't know crap. Caponi is a trash DC and he has to go. You can go with him too.
  3. This game should not have been close. We had this game under control. Giving up 22 points in the 4th is ridiculous.
  4. North Texas should not be this bad.
  5. Can we fire Caponi now?
  6. That stinking 3-3-5 defense is letting LT back into this game. Someone please step in and stop Caponi from running it for the rest of the game!
  7. Certainly the best UNT DC this century.
  8. While our 4-man front isn't perfect, it is better than our 3-man front. Both LA Tech TD's came against Caponi's 3-man front. That's not a coincidence.
  9. TD! Glad Morris has figured out our offense. We just need to replace Caponi.
  10. Caponi's 3-3-5 strikes again. We have to fire that dude. I'm done with him.
  11. That's a punt. Where has this guy been?
  12. Why did Caponi go back to a 3-man defensive front? I have no idea what this joker is thinking.
  13. And look at the results.
  14. DEFENSE FORCED A 3 AND OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw a four man front in that drive too.
  15. Yeah, Caponi might not be able to coach a 4-6 or another type of defense. But, it seems he can't coach a 3-3-5 either. At this point, what the harm in trying something we might be better suited to run. I don't think it can get worse than giving up 46 to FIU.
  16. How many AAC titles does SMU's football program have? I see no reason why Army couldn't come in and outpreform what SMU accomplished on the football field as an AAC member.
  17. I believe Army is busy reworking their future schedules, and the AAC is busy running the numbers by ESPN. Losing SMU in favor of Army, might just make the AAC a stronger and more valuable conference. We will see.
  18. Maybe I just view the portal different from most. It seems many view the portal as a place to go find replacement players when you lose some to graduation or transfer. I just don't see it that way. If there is a guy in the portal that is an upgrade over what we currently have, then go get him. We have more to offer than Texas State. As for our defensive struggles... our defense wasn't that great under Littrell either. It just wasn't historically bad, like Caponi's defense. Littrell tried to run a 3-3-5, but trashed it because he couldn't get enough line talent. There was no portal back then for Littrell to poach from. Caponi doesn't have that excuse. He just didn't bring in the players he needed. Nor did Caponi or Morris do their research regarding past attempts at such a defense. That's on our coaches. I don't know if Caponi can install a 4-man front defense in a week, but even if it sputters, it would be better than watching the 3-3-5 kill any chance of a win in Ruston.
  19. If I were Morris, I would hold back on publicly naming a starter as long as possible, just to keep LA Tech from zeroing in on stopping Rogers. Desperate times call for desperate measures. We need any advantage we can get at this point.
  20. The only positive thing we can do with the 3-3-5 is stop running it.
  21. Morris must be using these home jerseys to tell LA Tech that UNT is about to make "The Joe" our house.
  22. This seems to be a good decision by Morris. Based on what Rogers did against FIU, he deserves it.
  23. I don't want to consider what the score against LA Tech might end up being. But I will predict this..... Our offense could beat LA Tech, but our defense won't let us.
  24. It's like our theme song at this point.
  25. I noticed the same thing. I just thought that maybe (like many of us on this board) ESPN thought nobody was in charge on our sideline.
