2020 Sucks

Total team win! The more I watch this team, the more I wonder if Abou will ever get it on the defensive end? He hinders this team with stupid and selfish play. If we had Feidler, we would be winning this conference by 5-6 games, and we’d have won that tourney in the Bahamas. Love the W…but Abou is going to break some hearts in more big games if he doesn’t get his head screwed on straight! If Grant gets in the middle of him, hopefully it helps turn him into a better teammate on the floor!

I wish they would use just one court and pull the curtain for Saturday. It would be nice to double the seats for the finals!

Dave interviewed him after the UTEP game and he was talking about the need to practice together and fix things that need fixing. IIRC, Dave asked him about scoring and pace and Coach essentially alluded to needing some gym time to experiment or find players to refine roles. I may have been reading into it, but that was my take. You know coaches, they never show their real hand so you have to hear what they say and extrapolate!

Grant was looking forward to a full week of practice before this game to work in some new wrinkles and work out some of the kinks. Does anyone know if they’ve been having practice with this shutdown from the ice storm?

I’ll call your bullshit and raise it to double bullshit! Abou has been ABOUismal…ABOUt worthless and ABOUtsolutley awful since Christmas break. He cant buy a layup, he is 50-50 from the free throw line, he has 3 fouls before every halftime, and he has been tech’d multiple times in close games. The team is rarely ever able to stretch leads when he is on the floor.

My take on this is pretty simple…if we want to be attractive to our players who excel and to P5 bouncebacks…then we better get our own NIL ducks in a row and get competitive. It’s really as simple as “put up or shut up”.

Troy Aikman was blasted for saying’ “Just put a skirt on them”, on a Sunday night broadcast earlier in the year…referring to a soft hit on a qb that was flagged for roughing the passer. However, several times this year I’ve heard TV commentators reference “Peter, Peter, Peter” on punt plays. Our coaches taught us that Peter was slang for penis and that you didn’t want to be anywhere near a Peter on the football field. So in our woke culture…why is one ok…and one is taboo?

We’ve won a boatload of games in the MacCasland era doing exactly this. Sometimes it stings, but it’s better than losing 90-75 by teams with more talent! Why do we bitch about winning on this board so often?!🙄

These officials work all over the nation. The 3 that worked the game last night were rated #3, 7, & #16 on KenPom. This is the highest rated crew we will see in the next 10 years work a UNT game. They did a good job…especially if you compare them to what we had at home last week.

I hate a 3-man front! The way to stop a spread is to pressure the qb and make him with his progressions faster than he can process!

There is currently no limit on transfers. A kid can play 4 years at 4 different schools.

It is unusual for it to happen for yelling at a ref over a bad call. If he was threatened, I get it. But to be that thin skinned is weak. He had his eyes up in the crowd all day…he thought someone was there to watch him. Very unprofessional.

No other arena in college basketball has fans ejected. CUSA is such a joke!

Gut wrenching loss. Awful officials. Kids (for both teams) shot the ball like they’ve been on Christmas break. Gotta bounce back and start a new streak on Saturday. Sometimes the tough losses teach the best lessons!
