  1. I read this and though no shit Sherlock he's your boss, the guy who signs your checks. How stupid do people in these athletic departments think the fans are? I am guessing Akers is up for a new contract extension. Again, what has he done of significance and I am not talking conference but nationally? https://x.com/coachakers/status/1866643935268913373
  2. We were thinking of setting up a tailgate in the garage. Just hope it warms up some!
  3. This is out of line. Its not them its the system.
  4. I can speak to this. The alumni association is comprised of good people but it is very cliquish and the leadership needs to address this. It is hard in this day and age to get people together anymore so I feel for them.
  5. I like your thinking. They teach us the serenity prayer at church and it befits this situation so well. In so many ways UNT is like Job right now.
  6. Teams are only allowed 20 hours/week, and 4 hours/day for football activities (like the regular season), between the end of the season and their bowl. This includes film study and walkthroughs. There is no "15 practice rule", that is just a phrase some people use. Miami is definitely using their full 20, but may not be calling them "practice". Edit: The daily and weekly hour limitations DO NOT apply to the following time periods: During preseason practice prior to the first day of classes or the first scheduled contest, whichever is earlier. During an institution's term-time official vacation period (e.g., Thanksgiving, spring break), as listed in the institution's official calendar, and during the academic year between terms when classes are not in session.
  7. Right there with you brother!
  8. He hires terrible coaches, makes terrible play calls. Cannot recruit. Time to change!
  9. Agreed!
  10. Sup?
  11. Appreciate the recap
  12. Agreed. Our former highest paid football assistant was clearly a terrible coach and recruiter as well. Mosley will be making the next hire. He has to as Morris is putting his AD job in jeopardy now.
  13. It took way too long, he was paid way too much money. Should have never been given a 2 year guaranteed contract. Why does UNT keep spending so much money on horrible hires? Eric Morris failed miserably in his first big hire as a FBS head coach. Period. Now Mosley needs to start being concerned. His first big hire is turning out to be a bust as well. His only saving grace is basketball but honestly Ross was already set up as a easy layup hire for him so his Morris hire is much more indicative of his abilities to identify and hire good coaches.
  14. Absolutely agree. Morris made a terrible decision in the last hire, paying him WAY more than he deserved. Mosley should require full sign off on all candidates and he will.
  15. Yeah, you’re right. We should just accept and settle for mediocre teams and embarrassing coaching performances on a national stage. That shows our undying loyalty for the program and we should just shut up and stay out of it. NT being “our” team doesn’t mean we can’t voice our displeasure over the absolutely disgusting performance. UTSA does not have near the resources we have and yet they beat us because we have poor leaders who make tons of money and provide terrible results both on and off the field. And I could give two shits about getting to another crappy bowl game against a crappy opponent. That’s what they hope this Caponi firing will do, take our eyes off the embarrassment in San Antonio and 5 straight game losing streak. Get ready for it. The well staffed propaganda machine will be demanding we recognize and appreciate what an amazing accomplishment another six win bowl team is.
  16. Sort of chicknshit to fire him so late in the season. Seems like Morris is trying to find a scapegoat. Same for Mosley.
  17. Good gawd we are awful! Morris truly is a terrible coach.
  18. We should have won this. I am extremely frustrated right now.
  19. Some of the play calling decisions were very questionable tonight.
  20. According to whom?
