Announcers talking about coach Morris while the cameras follow a coach that is clearly not Eric Morris lol

These announcers are idiots. One just said that South Alabama was the only remaining original Sun Belt conference member. South Alabama wasn’t even playing football when the Sun Belt started football in 2001, and ULM and ULL are the only two that remain.

So there are all sorts of rumors swirling around right now about how Texas A&M could be leaving the SEC for the Big 10 as early 2026, and a rumor to follow that up is that Texas Tech would be the first choice to replace A&M in the SEC. This would leave a hole in the Big 12. I don’t know if there is ANY truth to any of these rumors but regardless, our athletic department needs to start a fund right now for the AAC exit fees so that we can take tech TTUs place in the Big 12. If we can actually start winning over the next few seasons there should be no reason we aren’t a prime candidate to replace them- if any of this actually happens.

All of these are correct, and unfortunately none of these are new issues.

Have we ever had 7 home games? That’s crazy to think about considering there was a point we only had 3 or 4 home games a year.

To me it looks more like a scaled down version of UABs new Protective Stadium. But it does look very nice.

With the exception that the lettering below the scoreboard still reads “Apogee Stadium”. Only real error that I found. Other than that it looks incredible.

Well fortunately for us I don’t think ticket prices to our games will be that egregious anytime soon.

Too high

Anyone else planning on making this road trip? I will be there with one other, staying on Fort Lauderdale Beach and driving up to Boca Raton for the game. Decided the Beach+Mean Green football would make for a pretty good trip.

Calling the ticket office or the MGSF is always such a pain and the people who answer the phone are always so unpleasant and unwilling to help.

You realize we haven't been in the Top 25 since 1959, right? At that point it was actually the Top 20. And in our 111 seasons of football, we have played in 13 Bowl Games. I feel like some of y'all have unrealistic expectations. We can build all the athletic facilities we can and hire all the coaches we want, but this is still North Texas, folks.

I can think of a lot of seasons in Denton that we would have been ecstatic to get 5 wins. In the 90s and mid to late 2000s especially. I know it’s not the season we wanted but alot of y'all need to look at where we came from before attacking Coach Morris and his staff.

Better than last week but still bad. The black accents ruin it all. And those Texas helmets are still awful.

We won In Irving at Texas Stadium in 1977. We won in Denton in 1990, 2006, 2014, and 2018. The 7-0 Victory in 1933 is the one and only time we’ve ever won at their place.

North Texas last won at SMU at Ownby Stadium on September 3rd, 1933. So it actually has happened before.

I hate those black helmets with a burning passion. If we want to build our brand as the Mean Green, then why don’t we actually wear green when being put on a national stage??? Like c’mon we’ve been on ESPN several times this year and only worn green once. Absolutely ridiculous.

We should have hired Darrell Dickey in December when we had the chance. He would have been a PERFECT fit in Denton for his second stint here. Guess who did hire him? Georgia. Yes, the team that is now ranked #1 in the country. Obviously the folks in charge in Athens hold him in a higher regard that most of the people on this site. We should have welcomed him back to Denton when we had the chance. But instead we hired a coach that is going to be right up there with Dodge in terms of Suckage.

Absolutely not. We need to be done being the place where coaches past their prime come to die.

None of those programs have the facilities or have made the financial commitments to athletics that North Texas has.

Have had this one planned for several weeks and even after briefly considering canceling, I’ll be there in green with 2 others. Anyone know if the band will be making the trip to Ruston?
