  1. RIDGE is gonna be a problem for opposing QBs. LFG.
  2. And… Aune throws his weekly Pick-6. Cool, cool.
  3. Ridge and Shorter are putting this team on their backs.
  4. Ridge is developing into a ball hawk! I like it.
  5. My least favorite part is thinking about how our broadcasts look to potential recruits and their families.
  6. No it’s definitely on UNT, ESPN+ only provides the distribution of the game. Thankfully ESPN will produce our games next year when we enter the AAC, per Wren Baker.
  7. The broadcast camera ops also don’t know how to zoom in/ zoom out either. We’re watching every play from a wide angle perspective.
  8. These news lids are fire. Hope we start 1-0 with them on.
  9. Okay Dorthy.
  10. I’ve been to Kansas before. No thank you.
  11. Well said. I have a Radio, TV, & Film degree from UNT and we definitely learned how to match exposure and white balance the camera so the color temperature would match across all TV cameras. Steps involved 1. Set up camera and make sure it’s level on the tripod. 2. Clean the lens with a true lens cloth. Start in the center of the lens and in a circular motion work towards the outside of the lens. 3. Turn on all cameras and point them all at the big white logo at the 50 yd line. 4. Adjust the exposure levels so all camera match. Use the iris meter on the camera or in the TV truck to dial it in. 5. White-balance all cameras (Note, this will need to be done once before the game and once when the sun goes down, typically happens during a commercial break/halftime.) 6. Locate the pan and tilt knobs and loosen the friction a bit. Find the sweet-spot where the camera is supported but it still allows the camera op to pan and tilt smoothly. Why this entry level information is now not being taught to the camera ops or the TV truck is beyond me. Also we’re using TV camera equipment that is absolute booty cheeks for 2022-23. Yes we do need to upgrade to 4K cameras immediately. How we look on TV is important to recruits and fans. My guess is the TV camera equipment is from 2011 when Apogee opened. This is embarrassing.
  12. I doubt the AAC divides the conference at all. Mike Aresco has said as much. He’s not a fan of divisions because they often don’t pit the top two teams together which hurts the conference champs bowl/playoff ranking.
  13. Here's the link to the full game incase anyone wants to rewatch: https://watchstadium.com/videos/8-27-22-c-usa-fotball-north-texas-at-utep/
  14. Agree 100%. I wouldn't sleep on Gumms either. Both could have big days if the ponies stack the box.
  15. Confirmed. Just as they did at the tail-end of last season, Coach and Co. are playing to our strengths and running the football. And not in a predictable, "3 yards and a cloud of dust", old-school rushing attack. Coach Bloesch presented multiple looks from multiple backs, mixed in RPOs, and kept the defense guessing with quick-read, short throws to crossing WRs, RBs in the flats, and TEs over the middle. With Coach Cobbs developing a deep stable of quality RBs, I think this new run-dominant identity could be a game changer now and in the years ahead. There is something very satisfying about watching the defense suck wind in the 2nd half as we keep trotting out fresh running backs to pound the rock.
  16. Reading this thread the morning after the win is an eye opening experience. 2/3rds of the thread is shit posting and negative, and it starts from the moment the game is delayed. We’ve been without college football for 8 months and this is how you show up on game day?! Then an impeccably-timed political tiff breaks out between two of our brothers in Christ; both in their feelings, born out of what I can only imagine is deep seated sexual frustration or a coworker beef from their time together at the Piggly Wiggly. Some of y’all showed your true colors last night. 🤡 Glad we got the conference win in a tough environment. Let’s enjoy 1-0 today and get ready for SMUt. #GMG
  17. I asked the same question on Instagram. Here’s their response.
  18. Wow. If this is true, that's a big blow to the Big12. Their only way forward is to try and build a 4th super-conference because it's clearly 1a. Big10, 1b. SEC, 3. Pac12/ACC partnership... and then the Big12. Big12 is already signaling they're looking to aggressively expand. Who do they go after next? Memphis? Boise St? Or do they make strategic emerging market plays like San Diego State or UNLV?
  19. Dodd can be hit or miss but there appears to be smoke... https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/acc-pac-12-discuss-loose-partnership-that-could-include-championship-game-in-las-vegas/
  20. Except this time, this wouldn't be an alliance, it would be a loose legal partnership. This rumor is now out in the open and they're talking about a championship game in Vegas. https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/2022/07/06/report-pac-12-and-acc-are-exploring-a-partnership-and-a-vegas-title-game/
  21. Rumors are the Pac12 and ACC are talking about a "loose partnership" that would be legally binding and align the two conferences together to fend off the B10 and SEC. https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/2022/07/05/acc-rumors-build-as-pac-12-tries-to-save-itself-and-stick-it-to-the-big-ten/
  22. Well… on the bright side we rid ourselves of Judy.
  23. I hear he's headed to USF. Wonder if this was the reason for Makenzie's departure?
  24. But on the flip side, the 1-loss winner will have a stronger resume to make a NY6 bowl.
  25. Found it! https://247sports.com/college/florida-atlantic/LongFormArticle/FAU-Football-Exclusive-Interview-with-AAC-commissioner-Mike-Aresco-Florida-Atlantic-American-Willie-Taggart-conference-realignment-174413889/#174413889_5
